Great experience at Oriental Pearl Seafood Restaurant (福临门). The atmosphere is warm and elegant, perfect for family dinners or business meetings. The food is good , and the service is friendly. Definitely worth visiting ..

It’s my favorite in Atlanta. Especially their signature dish, Lobster sticky rice is highly recommended.

Happy this place is open again, but we had a disappointing experience.

$2 seat fee. Extra charge for credit cards.

We came in at the end of cart service yesterday, so we only tried two items. The food we got was good.

The new decor is okay. They’ve given in to the trend of the big screens, replacing the nice Double Happiness they had up on the dais. The new tablecloths are vinyl, stacked several high. After the customers leave, the remove the top dirty one, leaving a clean one for the next customers. The new ceramic teapots are pretty. The bathrooms are still very dark, but they were clean.

Service was poor. After we were seated, nobody came to take a drink order or a menu order. We got food from the last two dim sum carts, but otherwise we were ignored. We hunted them down and asked for tea. Rather than hunt them down again so we could order more food, we decided to cut our losses for the day and try again in a few months. While they were closed for a year we found other cart-service dim sum restaurants on the other side of that little airport and up in Duluth that we like a lot.

I had been waiting for them to open back up, and we were disappointed. You can tell that they changed ownership and there were all new faces. We went for Dim Sum and there was barely any. We got 4 plates and got full from eating so slowly. The har gow was flavorless. There was a $2 seating fee per person, but they credited it. Thought that was weird. I hate that my favorite restaurant is gone.

This is my family’s favorite Chinese restaurant. We go there every Sunday for Dim Sum (lunch) and dinner on special occasions and “just because”. We have gone there for 20+ years. We are Chinese from Hong Kong so we know Chinese food. If you are looking for REAL and good Chinese food in Atlanta, this is the place to go. They have a real fish tank so you can have fresh seafood (lobster, fish, etc) Staff is friendly. Place has been recently updated. We liked it so much, we had our rehearsal dinner there in 2021 Also you can’t go wrong with the Peking duck and fried oysters.

My husband and I are addicted to the hot jasmine green tea & dim sum here! Friendly staff, quick service. We love the atmosphere and its fun seeing all the steaming carts with stacks of dim sum roll by. We live an hour away and travel here once a month to get our dim sum fix! 10/10 recommend this place!

decent food and not expensive!

food:
: The desserts like the fried sesame red bean ball and the steamed custard bun were really good. The vegetable and tea were also very good. **Make sure to get the dishes that come straight out from the kitchen to make sure they are not cold.
: Just like most other dim sum restaurants, the staff pushes the carts around, but it seemed like the carts only circulated around one area of the restaurant because we had to wait a long time until we could pick our food.
Also, the food is decent and might be better than a lot of other dim sum places around, but a lot of the food we got were cold. When we asked for our food to be heated, the staff refused..

environment/service:
The space and bathroom is very big and decently clean.
The service is very fast-paced like most dim sum restaurants, but the staff here are really rude.
I would say other than some of the cold food, the main problem was the staff and service. This grandma pushing the cart around was really rude and short-tempered. She misheard our order, but yelled at us. All the staff seemed to be rushing us too.

Consistently delicious, flavorful dim sum. Super efficient service and friendly people. We’ve enjoyed food here for the last 4 years and keep coming back. Highly recommend.

Just like all dim-sum restaurants, the service and employees were fast and accommodating. Some of our dishes didn’t seem fresh and tasted “re-fried” but other dishes were fine. We went right when they opened, not busy at all. We ordered their sweet and sour pork and beef chow fun and they weren’t my favorite. Oriental pearl was more pricey compared to our favorite dim sum joints. Definitely a must-try to sample all of the dim sum restaurants in the area though. Interior can definitely host parties and large groups.

It’s been a while since we’ve dined here. The place was packed too! At first I was less than excited about being seated back near the kitchen. It was very loud and busy with empty cart traffic. But then I realized what a special treat it was …we were right near all the hot items exiting the kitchen! Everything delicious and the service was kind and attentive. I didn’t see shrimp on sugar cane or braised beef short ribs, but the char sui pork ribs were nice and tender. The egg tarts were buttery with a nice flaky crust.
