I was hesitant about eating there but it was late and my wife works near there. It was both of our first time , I love Chinese food and am from the old school. I ordered the house lo mein to see of they would mess it up. Yes the meat was Rubbery and the lo Mei n was overcooked and Dry .My wife got beef and broccoli it was Decent and sauce was pretty good I would say go Authentic and go to Restaurant, walk up and Take out Chinese Food not Promising.

The food is awesome, but it’s takeout only. The sesame chicken is really good, so is the moo goo gai pan chicken…i order it without any celery or bell peppers, because I don’t like them. The general tso’s chicken is really food, but a little too spicy for me. The egg rolls are some of the best in the area.

I’ve been a customer here for at least 20 years, but less and less so. While they found a good system to stay open during the pandemic I feel like the love of the food went away. Dishes have been over-simplified to the point of being boring and mundane. The Singapore Noodles is a shell of what it used to be flavor- and ingredient-wise. The wonton soup…oh yeah, what wonton soup since they don’t serve it anymore. The egg rolls are little more than cabbage at this point. The sesame chicken that used to be among the best around is now just a sticky, sweet disappointment.

I hail from Chicago, and since arriving to Raleigh, its been a struggle to find “good food” in this town, compared to what I’m used to back home. None of my Chicago friends who live here DARED give any recommendations on Chinese restaurants, so it became a, “tread lightly” experiment. I eventually found a place near the NC State campus, but it’s pretty far from my house. Recently, after work, I Google Map’d Chinese restaurants near my location and Orient Garden popped up. Instead of calling, I decided to drive there to place my order in person, after laying eyes in the place.

Another first! We had just left the Southpoint AMC theater seeing the new Black Panther movie and wanted to eat dinner out. Of course it was Friday and a holiday do every single place we went to there was up to a two hour wait. My sister suggested Orient Garden where we could get takeout and eat at home and I said I hope it is good. She stated it had been several years but I was not disappointed. The food was fresh, spicy and full of vegetables just like my preference. Now this place is on my “go to” list! #Yum

I really like Chinese food, and I regularly went to a very good place that is far from where I live, but it was worth the trip. There is a mall very close to my house and every time I passed by this Orient Garden restaurant I ALWAYS saw that it had people. The place at this time only offers take out service. Today when I was starving and not willing to drive so much to go to the other place, I decided to give this one a try. Wow! what a surprise! To start with, the prices are almost the same but with the difference that the quantity of food is greater. Chinese food is usually a bit greasy, but this turned out to be a lot less greasy. As it was not in my plans to go there, I did not order in advance and was afraid that the wait would be long. But not! only 12 min was enough. and another 5 min to drive and enjoy this rich and delicious food!

They usually do a good job, but lately they’ve been lacking. Last time I ordered my food spicy, but it was normal. This time they got it right, but they forgot my spring roll.. I don’t like writing reviews but I waited 15-20 minutes for my incomplete order in the cold, yes I was bummed.

Very yummy food. Some of it is spicy. Not a problem for me but just throwing it out there. Very friendly service. The Gen. Chicken really is that good. I just wish they still had soup as I am always trying to find the best hot and sour soup on planet earth.

The sesame chicken is amazing and they give so much of it On the dinner menu. The rice is not that great but I love the chicken.
