Best Mediterranean place so far. I have tried falafel at many places but this place had exceeded the expectations to a whole new level. My new fav place.
The softness of falafel yet fully cooked. Pita so soft unlike those hard breads, melted in mouth.
Sweet potato fires

Really enjoyed my meal at Oren’s Hummus! I ordered the shakshuka and chicken skewers — both were super tasty and well-seasoned. The shakshuka had just the right amount of spice, and the chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and quick, which made the whole experience even better. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. Other than that, everything was great — I’d definitely come back!

Oren’s Hummus is the ultimate comfort spot for fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food that feels both nourishing and indulgent. The star of the show is, of course, the hummus—silky smooth, rich, and topped with high-quality olive oil that enhances every bite. Paired with warm, pillowy pita straight from the oven, it’s impossible not to fall in love with the simplicity and authenticity of the flavors. The shawarma plate was equally impressive, featuring perfectly seasoned meat that was juicy and aromatic, served alongside crisp salads and vibrant pickled vegetables that added a refreshing contrast. Despite its popularity, the service remains efficient and friendly, making it an excellent choice for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. The casual, lively atmosphere makes everyone feel welcome, whether you’re dining solo or with a group of friends. What truly sets Oren’s apart is its consistency—every visit delivers the same high-quality food and satisfying experience. It’s the kind of place you find yourself craving days later, already planning what to order next. A must-visit for Mediterranean food lovers in Palo Alto.

It was a very interesting experience. It was my first time eating Israeli food and it was delicious. Hummus was delicious and the atmosphere was modern. They also kindly recommended food. If you like a different experience, I recommend you to go.

Perfect for our retreat at Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. The fries were soggy (our fault for getting them in a take out order) but the falafel was excellent. The pistachio baklava was very sweet but still yummy

Excellent vegan, dairy free and gluten free options! I had the gluten free pita and it came out warm! The turmeric rice and falafels were very good and gf/df too! The entrees you can pick a side and a dip which is a good option if you want try all of the different hummus and sides they offer. There is also a sampling platter.

Tried the pita platter with a variety of dips and sides.
Dips: Hummus, babaganoush eggplant, Greek-style eggplant, Romanian eggplant, and labaneh
Sides: Falafel, marinated beets, Moroccan carrots

All the dips were absolutely delicious—flavorful and fresh. They paired perfectly with the pita, which was incredibly soft and enjoyable. Honestly, the pita and dips were the stars of the meal—I couldn’t get enough of them!

However, the sides didn’t quite meet expectations. The falafel was over-roasted, which gave it a slightly bitter taste. The marinated veggies lacked the punch I was hoping for.

Overall, I’d rate the experience 4/5. There’s definitely room to improve the sides, but the dips and pita alone are worth coming back for.

Service is really great. Good outdoor space with live music on Saturday afternoon. Lot of outdoor seating as road was blocked.

Rice was good. I didn’t really like pitas and hummus that much. Sampler Plate was good.

I would come back again for experience. There is enough parking close by.

Great music and vibes here. The outdoor seating has heaters above head and pillars to keep you warm on cooler days.
The pita was amazing, great taste of lamb and beef. Tons of flavors. Would recommend anyone wanting great Mediterranean food to come here for their hummus and stuffed pitas.

All the hummus platters are delicious. The hummus is soo smooth and tasty- a true delight. All the vegetables are fresh and they are accommodating to special requests. Moroccan carrots are worth trying and so are the kabobs (beef and lamb). The mulled wine is flavorful and well balanced. Highly recommend especially for a late night dinner that’s light and nutritious.
