Great vibe but they were out of all the smoke meats except one (on a Saturday night?) And the service was a little slow, it seemed like they were understaffed. Super nice folks, so just order 2 drinks at a time! Would love to come back and be out on the patio!

I’m giving 5 stars because the margarita alone was the best one I’ve ever had! The bar food was good(onion rings, fried pickles and wings). The food took over an hour to get to us because the kids in the back were smoking weed! They were all super friendly though! The waitress was sweet! I’ll come back for that margarita though!!! Great place!

The food is typical bar food. We’ve been there to eat twice and it was “okay”. We go for the atmosphere. The view is pretty, they have a big out side seating area. If you go in the winter time bring a jacket if you sit on the patio. They do live music and the beer is good.

Great atmosphere, with a home town feel! Decent beer selection. Food selection was small as they were out of a lot but the barbacoa tacos were amazing! We’ll be back for burgers!

This is just the kind of place we like! Small bar with great outdoor area. Service can be a little slow because bartender is usually doing the table service too, but they are always friendly and we don’t mind. Food has always been great!

Stopped there for lunch while on a motorcycle ride with friends. They were drastically understaffed for a Saturday. 1 lady behind the bar who was very nice, and her daughter alone in the kitchen. Smoke was pouring out of the fireplace and filled the entire place with heavy smoke. Opening doors and windows only made it worse. The food was horribly overdone. Chicken fingers were fried hard as a rock. Never again. Had to air out our leathers and shower when we got home to get rid of the smoke smell.

I took myself on a little road trip recently and stopped at the Orehouse Hilltop Tavern for dinner before heading home.
Would I call this place a dive? I’m not sure. It’s on the darker side, perhaps to match he mining decor, but it does have brighter outdoor seating, too. Go where you’re most comfortable.
I decided on the Blazing BLT and a Hard Cranberry Lemonade. Since they were out of cole slaw, I opted for the onion rings.
Simply put, that was probably the best BLT I’ve ever had. It had plenty of crunchy bacon, and the jalapenos added a little kick to the flavorful spices in the sauce. Even the onion rings were very good! Not every place has good onion rings.
The waitress was pleasant but only checked on me once and toward the end of my visit. She’d earn more in tips by interacting with the guests more often, but that’s another conversation for another time.
If you find yourself hungry in Oracle, Arizona, stop by the Orehouse Hilltop Tavern. It’s worth a visit.

We had 3 of us. We order drinks and food and sat outside. Waitress nor bartender came out for orders. We had to go inside and wait until the disinterested bartender offered her service. I ordered a bloody Mary ONLY because of the picture that is in Google for this establishment. Bacon, shrimp, olives, nice looking. What I got was 1 olive dropped in the bottom of the glass of an over horseradished bloody mary. YUK BTW. The burgers we ordered were suppose to have sauted red onions, mushrooms and cheese. What we got was a frozen burger with some sort of cheesy mush on it, no flavor, but at least the fries were fair. Won’t be back, 1.5 hours to get there. What a waste of over $70 for lunch.
