We came here for our last lunch while vacationing in Colonial Beach. The place was empty when we arrived so we were quickly greeted with a smile seated immediately. This was.my first time having authentic Thai food and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Garlic Chicken from the lunch special menu. The better half ordered Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken. We also started with some edamame.
The portions were very large. The food was excellent. I could barely finish half my plate but was very satisfied. The bite I took of the Pineapple Fried Rice was also great. We both really enjoyed the food, the friendly staff and even the cute atmosphere. By the time we left the parking lot was filling as we’re the tables. Definitely a local favorite!

Hands down the most consistent and solid made to order food in Colonial Beach!! I have been to many Thai restaurants in Las Vegas, NYC, DC and I would put this up to the best of the best. Real people staff and made to order FRESH food. Kitty is the sweetest and will make you feel right at home while served GREAT authentic Thai food.

Me and my partner love this place, it’s our go to for take out. The lady that runs the place is so attentive and friendly. She knows my order, since we go so often. I recommend the crispy duck kapow, and the crab rangoons! The drinks are also amazing, the basil mojito is my favorite that I’ve tried so far. I try to get a different drink every time I dine in, and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I also spend a lot of time at CB Creative across the street, and some days I can smell the scent red pepper and basil wafting across the road, and it never fails to make me drool

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing. The flavors were perfect, and the presentation was excellent. We were greeted by a very friendly woman when we walked in. She was very happy to serve us and was very attentive. After we were seated, she continued to make sure we had all we needed as well as our server being very attentive. Our food came quickly and was the perfect temperature when served. The prices were very reasonable. There was plenty of parking as well.

I’ve lived in Colonial Beach for 40+ years.. I’ve seen a lot of restaurants come an go over the years..This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in town. I usually eat here at least one a week.. Food is always delicious, great service, very clean… I’ve Never had anything bad from here.. They also have a lot of vegan options as well.. This place is awesome, love Orchid Thai..

We have returned several times and without fail every visit the food gets spicier and spicier. I love hot food. I love Thai food. However, there’s a difference between spicy and borderline inedible. I hope that this place can chill out on the spice so they don’t start losing customers. I’ve brought several people here and every time there is at least one dish that we cannot eat because it’s too spicy. Even the salads will blow your mouth off. Definitely ask for mild if you want to enjoy the food.

The food was fine we tried crispy calamari, spring rolls, fried rice and drunken noodles. The food taste was good. Ambience is fine. I recommend who likes Thai cuisine for sure.

I love this place!! If you want authentic Thai taste, this is the place!! Their noodles are great and you have to try their curry. I can tell they use fresh ingredients. The hostess is very sweet and friendly. She always goes out of her way to make sure we’re happy. We’ll be back!!!

Excellent food, service and location! Everything we had was delicious and we’re looking forward to going back to try the rest of the menu! The papaya salad was labeled as medium spicy but it was legit spicy – which was great! I love it when restaurants don’t dilute their spiciness 🙂
