We had a group of six and had very comfortable seating at a very large table.
Our waiter was very good and on the ball with our selections and needs.
The food was exceptional and well worth the price.
We even had a surprise visit with Mr. & Mrs. Clause ( see picture ).
Bene here a few times. Their Muscles are amazing and enough to be a meal. The broth is super good and the bread is perfect for mopping it up. On the most recent visit, we got the Lobster Bisque, Wagyu Smash Burger, and the Faroe Island Salmon. The bisque was super rich and good. Lost of chucks of meat. If I were to make this at home, I’m not sure I could eat it everyday in a week because it was so rich. The burger was great, and the garlic parmesan truffle fries it came with were perfect. They were almost all we could smell. Its about as close to an In and Out Burger as I can think of. The Salmon was perfectly cooked and was nice and tender.
Service was good, a little absent at times which is a shame since it wasn’t crowded or packed.
The place is clean and modern with indoor, bar, and outdoor seating.
Tons of cool stuff to see food is really upscale everything on menu is good. Excellent service. Lobster roll was really good. Fried tomatoes were a nice seasonal touch. Calamari and steak frites were also really good.
We ordered the charcuterie and eight jumbo shrimp cocktail. My husband ordered a margarita and I got the citrus bloom lemonade. The margarita was “mediocre at best.” The citrus bloom lemonade was disgusting. It didn’t taste like fruit or lemonade and it smelled like Hawaiian punch.
The jumbo shrimp was delicious and the charcuterie was disappointing. There was no fresh fruit served. There were three types of salami and three cheeses. There were sunflower seeds, pistachios, dates, dried figs, dried apricots… and it bothers me so much when a runner or server brings me a charcuterie and does not identify the meats and cheeses. The runner did not identify the meat and cheese and the server had to go ask what they were.
This restaurant is like any other franchise, but they want to mask it and make it look like an upscale, local, high end restaurant taking business away from real local restaurants and tricking tourists. I went to their about me on their website and all it says is that they opened in 2014 and they try to bring seasonal food and when you click on about me it just takes you to the homepage over and over and over again.
We did not order entrées because I noticed a note at the bottom of the menu that said, “A 2.5% Service Fee is applied to all transactions, which allows us to pay a fair-living wage to our employees during infiationary times, we appreciate your understanding.”
The server made “four or five dollars” an hour she wasn’t sure which she assured me that the 2 1/2% does not go to her. So on top of overcharging you for your food, they’re charging you to pay their servers and you have to tip the server. The server said she would take the fee off of our check but did not. When I told a couple waiting to be seated about the fee, they turned around and walked out.
I have no problem, eating at a chain restaurant or a non-local restaurant. I do have a problem with a restaurant, pretending to be local, pretending to contribute to their community through their marketing, and outright Lying about paying a fair wage. I definitely do not recommend.
