A very pleasant, casual place for a relaxing breakfast. The food is nicely prepared & tasty. It is not gourmet quality but if you’re looking for a good breakfast, everything is fresh & enjoyable.

Open city’s outdoor seating set the scene for a delicious lunch with three colleagues. The service was fast and limited to one payment which meant we had to sort the bill after. All of our food tasted great The large trucks passing by kind of detracted from a relaxing time though it was still nice to be outside!

Wonderful place for a brunch or a breakfast. They also also have very nice dinner and lunch menu.

I came here maybe 12 years ago on a trip, and now back again in this beautiful and inspiring place, I knew I had to return to Open City. Great casual-type place. Sat outside on a perfect evening. Enjoyed the Cobb but was tempted to get a pizza or maybe breakfast food. Excellent service. Thanks, Open City!

Open city was a cut above average. Getting seated took a little longer than expected because dine-in and take-out orders all entered through the same line. The restaurant layout makes it a bit of a challenge to do this another way, though. The best part of our meal were the lattes. I ordered the heuvos rancheros, which were OK, but I wouldn’t order them again. The beef didn’t have a lot of flavor, and they opted for crunchy tortillas instead of soft (not my preferred preparation). Service was a little slow at first, but picked up once we actually put our order in.

Great place to bring your whole family, service is fast and good. Plenty of room in and outside. I believe I had one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. This place really delivers. You def need to try it.

This DC restaurant has a stronghold on breakfast. The line was wrapped, but we were seated relatively quickly (20 minutes or so). I had eggs, french toast, bacon, hash browns, and coffee. It was good. Our server was great. I’d go back.

The food is pretty good, but the service could have been more responsive. I like that the hot tea is served in the strainer and not a tea bag. Salmon was good. Omelette was good.

I had the california scramble. The portion was good and the vegetables were fresh! My server and the manager were very friendly and attentive.

This place is a little far from me, but I absolutely love the ambiance and food. I’ve been here twice now, and I look forward to going back to try other dishes.
