Pretty good place and a novel break from typical hotpot. You need to keep some things to consideration to make it a five-star experience for yourself. First off, nothing besides the carbs and sliced meats are worth it. The dragon fruit shrimp paste is fairly indistinguishable from the regular shrimp paste besides them giving you even less shrimp. The enoki mushrooms weren’t even at their peak but they charged 50% the price of meat for them. In fact, none of the mushrooms are worth it, portion-wise. The osmanthus oolong was our favorite meat. Jasmine oolong was out of stock or else that would likely have taken the crown. In terms of stock, the house Chongqing beef tallow was the table’s favorite. Followed by the Jasmine tomato then the Yunnan chicken and mushroom. You pick the tea which will make up the base of the house stock. We went with Jasmine as we like the floral notes. They do not hold off on using Szechuan peppercorns here. It’s at least 4/5 of a habanero in terms of spiciness with equal numbing. They have kettles to refill your broth besides the house broth where you just fill in more tea. The place was clean and they have ice cream at the bottom for you to finish off with. Service is on and off with the server we got having a hard time communicating anything accurate with us.

Absolutely loved this hot pot place! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, especially the meats and vegetables, and the broth options were rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. The dipping sauce bar was well stocked and customizable, which really elevated the whole experience. Service was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Perfect for both family dinners and gatherings with friends. Will definitely be back!

Had a great hotpot experience here. What really stood out was the light, clear broth, comforting, and refreshing. It’s a perfect balance if you love bold flavors but don’t want everything to be overwhelming.

The ingredients tasted fresh, and the clear soup really let the vegetables shine, while the spicy side delivered real depth instead of just surface, level heat. Also loved the iced tea, which was good and helped balance out the richness of the meal.

Overall, this is a great spot if you want hotpot that feels thoughtful and well-balanced, not just aggressively spicy. Would definitely come back.

Angus beef – Generous portion. Good quality. Actually pretty good deal.

Veggie combo – We were disappointed they didn’t replace the veggie that we didn’t like. Because it was part of the elite freebie, we got it anyway but I wouldn’t order it if I come here myself. The yellow corn was very sweet.

Pork – good portion, good quality

Squid – I was very impressed with it. Taste really good if you like seafood.

Soup base – Disappointed that a few were out of stock. The numb spicy I didn’t like. It’s very spicy which is fine but it lacks flavor. I think if they use herbal or other soup base or just adding salt will improve the taste a lot better.

The herbal soup was very flavorful. Loved it! But a bit salty.

Beautiful interior design and yummy hot pot! I loved how the teas came with little tea pots. The hot pot broth and the meats are tea infused, but I wasn’t really able to taste the tea. The food was still delicious and high quality regardless. On par with other hot pot restaurants (Liu Yi Shou, Hai Di Lao, etc) in terms of quality and pricing. There is an extra charge for the sauce bar.

We had dinner here with friends. Very nice food and ingredients. The special part is the hotpot base soup is prepared with tea and you can actually taste the tea aroma. Recommended for both family and small parties.

I had a great experience at Four Seasons Tea House Hot Pot today. What really makes this place stand out is their tea-marinated meats — such a unique concept for hot pot. The tea aroma is subtle but noticeable, and it adds a clean, fragrant layer of flavor without overpowering the meat itself. Everything tasted lighter and more refined compared to traditional marinades.

The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and you can tell a lot of care goes into how the food is prepared. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, which made the whole dining experience feel more elevated and relaxing.

If you’re looking for a hot pot place that offers something different and thoughtfully executed, this is definitely worth trying. I’d happily come back again.

Lovely teahouse-style atmosphere and very high-quality food. The broth was flavorful but not heavy, and all the ingredients tasted fresh, especially the meats. The tea selection was a great touch and paired well with the hot pot. Friendly, attentive service as well. Would definitely come back.

Charming Hot Pot Find in Downtown Mountain View

Stumbled upon a super cute hot pot spot, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! Every dish is infused with a touch of tea-inspired creativity, making the whole experience both tasty and unique. ✨
• Fresh & tender meats
• Crisp, colorful veggies
• Warm and attentive service
• Perfect vibe for a date night or a friends’ hangout

And the best part? The little teapot sitting on top of our milk tea is actually a take-home souvenir — how adorable is that!

Definitely adding this place to my list of go-to spots in Mountain View.

It was a pleasant surprise to try the unique hot pot and tea concept at Four Seasons Tea House Hot Pot on Castro Street in the heart of downtown Mountain View. With the significantly increased prices (around $160 or more for just two people) and super long wait times at Hai Di Lao, I’ve been looking for a hot pot alternative.

There is a wide variety of meat platters for dipping into the broth, which can be a single or split double pot. We chose an herbal chicken and a tomato chili broth. They had all kinds of bones, herbs and goji berries inside the chicken broth, which is a big improvement over a lesser place that just uses powdered broth. We ordered Angus beef with Jasmine and the Angus with Osmanthus. The beef was topped with flowers and tea leaves interestingly placed on the side of the meat.

The waiters and waitresses were attentive but communicating with them was a bit challenging at times since not all of them spoke English fluently. There’s also a bit tricky QR code menu ordering system for your phone that takes orders and is where you ultimately check out. If you have a large group, your party can join the same tab to place additional orders. But that can be somewhat challenging to coordinate, as it took some time before the group tab popped up on the browser.

The beef was fresh and good quality. It’s about $15 per platter for the beef, lamb, chicken and pork. They also have fresh and plump abalone, fish, noodles and vegetables. The space downstairs was a bit tight between tables along one side, but there was plenty of space on the other side that was left unoccupied until it got busier.

The sauce bar has some yummy sesame balls and neatly prepared sauces, garlic, cilantro, chili oil, peanut sauce and several other ingredients. They also had some fresh watermelon and grapes. Near the front door, there’s a soft serve ice cream machine that you can help yourself to.

Upstairs they have more tables and private banquet rooms for up to 12-16 people with their own karaoke sets. They apparently host fun events back there!

If you are looking for a quality hot pot alternative to Hai Di Lao that costs quite a bit less and is much easier to get a table at, I’d recommend checking out Four Seasons Tea House Hot Pot.
