Do I know much about Greek food?… no. Do I know what tastes good?…. yes. This place is great. Tastey, fresh, and just a nice place. The hummus sampler is delicious and a great deal. If you’re in Warwick and want a solid meal, I highly recommend it. Give it a try!

Stopped by a couple days ago with my mom and was seated quickly. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the falafel appetizer, they were fresh and delicious. Mom had the chicken souvlaki pita sandwich. I ordered a small sized cranberry, walnut, and goat cheese salad and added pork souvlaki. The salad was just the right size and delicious. Friendly staff, great food and good ambiance. I highly recommend this establishment.

Fresh, tasty and service with a smile! It’s not always easy to find a place with vegan options. This place has delicious food with lots of options and great service. We are sorry that we don’t live closer but definitely will return next time we are in that area.

The food is quality and they are good people – the spanakopita is a highlight here, as is the gyro sandwich and the Moussaka – but you can’t go wrong! Great for a quick dinner for you and the kids if you can pick up as well.

Good Greek menu. Sometimes the food is excellent. On most recent trip the musaka was just warm, not hot. I think it was microwaved. It was very good tasting but kind of cold. But they actually HAVE musaka… That says something.

The salads are great. The dolmas are very good.

My first time trying Opa and certainly not the last! Literally the most amazing spanakopita I ever had. I ordered the spanakopita dinner which, for only like $18, came with a side (I chose the lemon potatoes), a small Greek salad, pita and the best tzatziki I ever had…even better than my own! It was a huge portion…like a 5×5 inch square and so flavorful. Because it was a to-go order, the phyllo dough on the spanakopita became soft so I simply stuck it in the air fryer for about 7 min and it was perfectly crispy. I can’t wait to try some of their other items!

My wife and I, together with our friends, had gone hiking at Stairway to Heaven in Vernon Township in NJ. After the (difficult) hike, it was decided to have dinner at Opa. It was a 15 minute drive to Warwick in New York. The place is very neat and clean and the staff are very friendly. Parking was OK but not being familiar with the area, I think I entered in the wrong direction. Did not have to wait that long and I ordered the lemon grass salmon with rice. It was delicious. My wife and our friends also enjoyed their dinner. And to top it off, I saw that they had a dessert fridge, which I had been eyeing since I saw a staff member take out a container. So needless to say, I got a rice and bread pudding and 2 other pieces of dessert. This was Saturday when we had dinner. The dessert was gone by Monday evening – that’s how good they were. The sweetness was just right. So when we go back to Stairway to Heaven again, at least we know that coming down, there’s an excellent Greek restaurant waiting for us just across the border.

Food Review: Opa! Greek Grill – Warwick, NY

Yesterday turned into the most wonderful surprise! My family and I spent the day apple picking at a nearby farm and decided to grab dinner in the adorable town of Warwick, New York. We originally had our hearts set on another restaurant, but every place in town was packed with 2+ hour waits — and we were already 2½ hours from home.

That’s when we stumbled upon Opa! Greek Grill, and wow — what an amazing find! We love Greek food, so we thought, why not? And they did not disappoint.

We ordered a little bit of everything:
Opa Fries
Calamari
Grape Leaves
Chicken Orzo Soup
Spanakopita & Pasticio
Chicken Souvlaki
The Santorini Burger
Kids’ Pita Pizza
And the refreshing Epsa Lemonade

We even took home rice pudding and baklava for dessert which both were absolutely heavenly!

Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and authentically Greek. The gentleman who served us was so friendly and made the experience even better.

Honestly, I’m so glad we couldn’t get a reservation elsewhere, because we might have missed this hidden gem. I can’t stop thinking about how delicious everything was. If you’re ever in Warwick, Opa! Greek Grill is a must!

The food was amazing and fresh! Service was a bit slow but the staff was very nice and attentive. The restaurant interior is smaller but has a nice atmosphere. We will go back and try the sweet next time we are in town. The dessert menu looks great!

What a gem! Ended up here by chance on a Saturday evening and glad I did. It’s a very casual spot but the service is wonderful and the food is great quality. It’s clearly a very popular restaurant because all of the tables were full when we entered and there was a seemingly endless number of people coming in for takeout. Despite all that, we were seated rather quickly.

The food took a bit of time to come out but I didn’t mind waiting given the high quality. I stuck to something simple: a chicken souvlaki pita. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the tzatziki sauce super flavorful. My friends were all happy with their meals and we finished off with some dessert: bread pudding and rice pudding. Let’s just say, there was nothing left on anyone’s plates at the end of the meal!

I highly recommend this place for some fresh and light Greek food
