However, I had an uncomfortable experience during my recent visit. Ooba Tooba offers free salsa at the salsa station, which is great and definitely enhances the meal. But when we went to take some additional salsa, a staff member (photo attached, face hidden for privacy) was quite rude and stopped us from taking more. Also stopped us to take salsa if order is placed from doordash or ubereats.
I genuinely don’t understand why a restaurant that charges premium prices would restrict customers from taking salsa when it’s placed at a self-serve station specifically for customers to enjoy and enhance their food. It made the experience feel awkward and unwelcoming.
Everything else about this place is good, which is why this stood out even more. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and aligns staff behavior with the customer experience they want to provide. Small interactions like this can really impact how customers feel about coming back.

We came here around lunch time on a weekday, and there was only one group dining. We placed the order at the counter, then got a seat by the window. We ordered the grilled chicken plate for $16.99 and the grilled steak burrito grande for $18.99. They also gave us two small bags of chips on the house that came with the meal.
There is a salad bar with fresh del dia salsa, fresh tomatillo salsa, fresh habanero salsa, fresh corn/pineapple, and fresh pico de Gallo. My husband likes to mix del dia salsa with pico de Gallo. I enjoyed the corn a lot and took some home too. They have small containers for you to take small portions back.
The grilled chicken plate comes with cooked veggies, grilled chicken, black bean, sour cream, pico de Gallo and 2 small wheat tortilla. My husband’s burrito grande looks more appetizing as his comes with guacamole, fresh lettuce, steak burrito, sour cream and pico de Gallo. His steak burrito was also covered in cheese. The food taste on par with other Mexican places, and portion is large like other Mexican places too. We got a to go box to take leftover back.
They were playing Mexican music the whole time, so I quite enjoyed the vibe. When we left, the restaurant was about 60% full. It’s a nice spot, but nothing was that special here and it’s not super close to us, so it’s unlikely for me to visit again.
Spacious and cheerful dining atmosphere with Mexican music playing in the background. Outdoor seating available too, weather permitting. Most meals are served with chips and an extensive salsa bar.
Ample free street parking is available.
I saw many other people taking more than 3 only
Only plus minority were told so 🙁
Avoid these racist businesses!!!
The Fajita Steak Burrito was just okay. While the steak itself was flavorful, the burrito lacked balance—the top half was packed with steak, while the bottom was mostly beans and rice, which made for an uneven bite. The Chicken Quesadilla was a bit disappointing—the chicken was dry and oddly cut.
That said, the tortilla chips and salsa bar were great! The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa options were flavorful and a nice addition to the meal.
Overall, while the food was decent, the burrito and quesadilla could have been better balanced and prepared. If you’re stopping by, the salsa bar and chips are definitely worth trying!
