I was craving Hawaiian bbq and this was nearby. Definitely delivers that solid Hawaiian flavor.
I had their bbq chicken and a side of white fish with all steamed vegetables. The chicken was delicious and cooked just right. The white fish was also delicious but the tar tar sauce was an excellent dip for it. Overall it was a great lunch experience and great customer service.
I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

We ordered the white fish and chicken plates. The meals came with steamed rice and macaroni salad but there was also cabbage at the bottom. The white fish is a bit thin and greasy. The chicken comes with large pieces which a plastic knife should be provided when ordering take out. There’s plenty of food so you could share if you’re not a big eater. They do pack several sauces and the overall taste was good.

Ordered 3 Island Feast Bundles for a party, but the staff didn’t include sauces, utensils, or napkins—I had to ask for each one. Later I realized all the drinks were missing. I called right away and explained I would return in about an hour since my guests had already arrived and I had to provide my own drinks at home.
When I came back, I asked if I could have canned drinks instead (same price), but was told absolutely not. Considering the drinks were forgotten in the first place and I had to make two trips on a very busy day, this lack of flexibility felt unreasonable.
In the end, I wasted time, gas, and energy, and left without the drinks at all. I normally enjoy Ono Hawaiian BBQ, but this experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
P.S. I asked for the corporate office number and Robert, the manager wrote me like this which I couldn’t read clearly

I really wanted to like this place and give it 3x try. Food just is very bad, especially their katsu. I am not sure exactly why but the batter on the katsu is nasty. It is very hard. I should be crispy but it is just hard and tasteless. Rest of the food is not too great either but It is truly the worst katsu that I have ever tasted in my life. It is too bad because normally Hawaiian bbq is tasty. I will bet my money that this place will close their business not too distant from today. At some point customers will walk. But the restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly people. They just need to fire the cook.

The BBQ dish always hits the spot. I like the chicken and the ribs. Somehow the steamed cabbage with spicy mustard and hot sauce is a great combination.
