This was one of my worst experiences with this restaurant. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff are friendly. I ordered a pickup, but when I got home, I found that one of the meats was missing from my order. I ordered two with chicken and beef, but there was no beef, and the katsu in my order was overcooked to the point of being rock hard and chicken was undercooked. The kitchen is working terribly. Unfortunately, it was pick up and I saw all this only at home

I absolutely love eating here. Great food, great price, my only real complaint is parking can be a nightmare. So I just visit outside the real busy hours.
I always buy extra for later. This time it was bbq beef and bbq chicken combo, shrimp combo, and spam musubi (which is great with fried eggs for breakfast). Their Mac salad is great too!

This review is for Mina, the girl at the register. She was very welcoming and friendly, told her it was my first time and I was from Colorado, she gave me her favorite suggestion and suggested other dishes that were popular as well. I took her suggestion and got the Fire grilled white fish mini plate. Plate was plentiful for myself, 1 scoop macaroni salad, 1 scoop rice, 2 pc of blackened spiced fish and some steamed cabbage. Everything was delicious, but elevated after Mina suggested a ginger sauce to use with my fish, loved it. First time trying this place and would recommend, Thank you Mina for the Great experience!

Let me tell you, the portions did not disappoint! The short ribs, priced at $16.99, came with three succulent pieces alongside perfectly steamed veggies, rice, and a creamy macaroni salad that added just the right touch of comfort. I opted for the chicken katsu, which was delightfully crispy and flavorful. Oh, how I wish I’d seen that coupon sooner; unfortunately, it was already nearing the last date of promotion when I discovered it. Nonetheless, this culinary adventure was well worth it!

Fiest time here and I’m a fan. We got the BBQ beef mini plate and the chicken katsu mini plate.
There is nothing mini about them. You get a lot of food for $10
The BBQ beef was tender and very flavorful as was the very crispy katsu.
Their macaroni salad was out of this world good as was their sticky rice.

Ono is clean and very friendly staff. I ordered the Island Fire Chicken, which I have to say was a tad too spicy and greasy. The side veggies, rice and salad were delish. The meal was huge. I shared and was stuffed! As I was leaving, I chatted with someone who was eating the lemon chicken and pork. They said it was delicious and healthy. That’s what I’ll order next. Definitely worth a try for a good, quick, huge meal.

What a nice lunch date with hubby today.
First, the front counter lady was SUPER friendly and welcomed us with a ‘Mahalo’. Very fun attitude.
I ordered the aloha plate with Kalua pork (comes with rice and their macaroni salad) and a side salad. The PORK was really nicely done- yum. I wanted to try the sauces (teriyaki and katsu) but the pork just didn’t need it. I did dip just a bite in each- The teriyaki sauce is served warm in the Katsu sauce is served cold and they were both fantastic. The Katsu sauce I would say tastes a little more Hawaiian of course.
Hubby had an aloha plate with a barbecue chicken and he really enjoyed it. His was served with a bit of rice underneath the chicken and a side salad as part of the meal. while he tried the sauces, he didn’t feel the chicken needed any, so that’s good!
The portions were large, so I was unable to finish my pork, but it will be going home for a dinner sandwich. bonus!
I love the fact that they had four different kinds of ice teas, one of them was unsweet and the rest were flavored options that were sweetened.
Service was very quick, we had our food about five minutes after we ordered it and the place was pretty busy. There was a decent number of people ordering and eating in and quite a line of folks coming in for takeout orders.
The place was really clean as well- hand sanitizer at the door too.
This is definitely a place to become a regular!
