New business that needs to iron out the kinks. The building was not remodeled. It is still very much the same as the old Tanglewood, minus the taxidermy. It could use a good cleaning. We ordered off The lunch menu. The “Just A Burger” was just that…I didn’t discover the whiskey aioli, and the 2 pieces of wilted arugula didn’t add anything. And this is a cute little burger, or a large slider? I would have been more impressed with a $6 burger from Carl’s Jr. = go figure. My son had the fish & chips, which did have a crunchy beer batter and 2 average size pieces of fish. It was good, not great. My biggest complaint would be the $8 Bloody Mary, that I ordered spicy. I received a pounder of ice and tomato juice. Not a lime wedge, not an olive, not even anything to stir it up with. Our server brought me Tobasco, but this didn’t quite make the magic happen. Actually, the best part of our visit was the friendly server. I found the menu prices to be on the high side for portion and quality. BTW, who puts a Reuben on a Potato roll??

Corned beef and cabbage was great! The grilled salad was pretty awesome too! 2 stars because the price was a little to high for us to get a really bad rib steak. We had to send the steak back.

The best French Dip!!! It’s called “Oneill’s Dip” on the menu. Roasted Prime Rib takes the concept to a whole new level. I also tried the Lamb burger. Ground lamb and chopped lamb mix gives the burger a better flavor than just ground lamb burger. So many other good items on the menu which I’ll have to go back and try. The recent interior changes and all the menu updates make this a great bar and family dining place in Gig Harbor.

everything was okay until the owner walked up to our table complaining to the three of us about having a pitcher of beer. apparently they dont serve pitchers but the server gave us two of them. So as she is telling this to us, we didnt know and she wouldn’t stop repeating herself when it wasnt our faults. terrible communication skills. she didnt apologize to us either. and she is rude to her staff by rudly telling them something without concern of people around them or her servers. our server said, we got cocktail sauce, and she then shouted, no we do not. wow.

Corned beef nachos. What? You heard right- and when I saw that on the menu, I had to try it. It was so delicious, so much so that I had to fend off my family as they kept trying bites of it.
Not that what they ordered wasn’t good. My father’s fish and chips were very crispy yet tender. My mom’s Reuben sandwich was really good with a shredded corned beef and flavorful sauerkraut. My hubby’s burger had some crazy toppings but wow, the flavors and textures were outstanding. All delicious, but the nachos stole the show.
Our server was very friendly and funny! She kept us stocked with plenty of refills and always threw in a fun joke with our conversation.
A decent amount of parking outside with a warm, classic bar/pub interior, O’Neill’s is a very comfortable place to visit. I look forward to our next visit!

Stopped in for a bite on Friday. The fireplace is so welcoming and the bar is just beautiful. Fish and Chips were delicious and a nice size portion. Wanted to try the lamb burger, but my date said it was so good he wouldn’t share. Lol. Splurged on bread pudding for dessert. On a tip from the waiter ordered a shot of spiced rum to drizzle over the top (1/2 to drizzle, half to sip.) It was so delicious! Friendly employees. Great atmosphere. Oh & they had fantastic live music!!! I will definitely be back.

We tried this restaurant on a whim the other night. The ambiance and décor was well done. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu. This is truly an Irish grill. We both had the shepherd’s pie which was outstanding! Even better we ordered dessert, which we never do, and got the homemade bread pudding. I think it’s the best thing we’ve ever eaten! We will definitely be returning here.

This was a Last minute, hey turn the car around and let’s go check that place out, and we’re glad we did. The food was very good. If your into onion rings get them they are awesome, seasoned and fried to perfection. Our pasta dishes were delicious and plated well. Our server Jayden was courteous and quick to rectify a cocktail mistake. The atmosphere was a little different, sparse decorations and I found it a bit awkward. This is a great neighborhood spot and the “bar side” seemed a bit more lively than the restaurant. We will definitely return!

The food is consistently good. I love their green salad with 3 beans and white balsamic. We like to eat in the bar and the bartender is excellent. He provides incredible service managing the bar as well as serving the tables. He is efficient, friendly, and always good humored. There is a great selection of beer and cocktails.
