I ordered an Ubereats order today and was so disappointed when it arrived. I ordered two birria tacos that came with no consume. I’ve never had a birria taco like that. After taking a bite I had to spit it out because it was an entire blob of fat. I also ordered two pastor tacos on flour tortillas. Those were okay-ish but the meat took a bit to chew. Not impressed. In the delivery bag there were no slices of lime or even a sauce or two. I haven’t ordered or eaten at a Mexican taco joint that was so stingy with what they provide. It appears to me that they provide the bare minimum. On the plus side the only thing I liked were the tortillas which seemed fresh. Besides the tacos, I ordered side of corn (not impressed) and Spanish rice. Overall, it didn’t ’hit the spot’ and I wouldn’t order again.

I ordered the Migas and El Clásico tacos. I stopped by because another restaurant was closed for staff party. So glad I did. The Migas taco is AMAZING! I didn’t love the clasico that much maybe because it was plain just potato and egg not a lot of flavor. Next time I’ll get just the Migas tacos. Prices are great and food is good. They are open for breakfast which I love!!!❤️

I placed a large to-go order a full day in advance for around 40 tacos for a meal for employees working a nearby event, with some orders of chips and salsa etc. I scheduled a 2pm pickup time. I was running a bit late and didn’t arrive until almost 2:20pm. They said they were still working on it…but I suspect they hadn’t started assembling the order until I arrived. I mentioned that I had requested a 2pm pickup time and it was already well past that time, and the employee said that they had gotten a lot of online orders today.
I said I also submitted an online order…a full day beforehand, but she just kind of smiled and said they were sorry. I ended up leaving with the order at 2:40pm. It made my timeline really tight to get to the event I was working, and was incredibly frustrating when I didn’t have the necessary time for setup before the event started. I was so busy because of that delay that I didn’t even have a chance to eat any of the tacos, so I couldn’t even comment on the food quality. Definitely not going to use this restaurant for future employee meals if we can’t trust that we can pick up on time. Why bother letting you request a specific time if it’s not going to be ready until 40 minutes later? It also doesn’t make sense to send me a text message acknowledging the order right when I submitted it, but to not communicate any updates by text message regarding the order status.

My first time at any One Taco location and I’m sure we will be back. People in Austin talk about the great tacos but as someone who moved here from Southern California, it seems hard to find a good taco. But One Taco really seems to capture the authenticity of a street taco.
I tried their carne asada and Al Pastor and we tried both the street tacos size and their regular “Los Tacos” size. It seems the ingredients are the same. I’m not sure what meat they use for the carne asada but it’s very different from carne asada I’ve come to expect from any traditional taco shop in SoCal. It’s not bad, but the meat they use just has a different flavor that doesn’t take like good steak.
Likewise, the Al Pastor is good… but just different. They do have the meet cooking on a turning spit. They seem to cut bigger, thicker slices of the al pastor than what I am used to. They sprinkle chopped onion and cilantro and overall, the taste was good.
They have red and green salsa to use on the tacos and I really liked their green salsa. I’m not sure if the tortillas are hand made on site but they don’t taste like it.
Overall, the food is good but it could be better. I’m sure we will come back but we aren’t going to go out of our way to eat here.

Normally we have a great experience with ordering online and picking up our food. Always fresh and delicious. But, yesterday we waited for over 30 minutes after ordering online, watching people come in and out, eating there etc, only to be told they didn’t have enough queso to complete our order and we’re not accommodating to make it right since we had already prepaid (and tipped) beforehand.

Really love the tacos and at a great price! But when ordering carry out, the last 2-3 times, they have not provided all the food ordered. It can be frustrating. We recommend reviewing the food with the staff before taking home. Unfortunately that means opening up the wrapped food one by one (sometimes they have labels but most of the time they don’t). Service would be 5 stars if they can sort through this carry out issue.

My wife and I visit One Taco on a weekly basis and always have a great consistent experience! With all the Taco places around one would think One Taco would be outnumbered but it’s honestly on another level than other taco restaurants. The ingredients taste extremely fresh and the tacos are simple and healthy. We often get the street tacos, quesadillas, chips and guacamole and the birra tacos. They are always fresh and delicious. The service is always fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. Their dining area is casual and comfortable and One Taco also offers outside seating too. Highly recommend giving One Taco a try, you will not be disappointed!
