We created this restaurant with a very clear vision—to get back in touch with what we love about the restaurant business, the basics. Bolete [bo-leet] is meant to be an experience, an escape from the hurried world we live in, a comfort. We do not rush what we do and we don’t want you to rush through your dining experience with us.
Rustic-chic destination serving a seasonal farm-to-table menu of American cuisine, with a full bar.

We had a really great meal here on a very busy Saturday evening. We got there at open and by the time we left every table was occupied. Tables are pretty close together, so you can hear others conversations fairly clearly. If you don’t like that vibe, I would definitely try to come when they’re not as busy (if there is such a time). The food was absolutely outstanding. The menu options are fantastic. We really love that everything was local and fresh. Just be prepared for a wait. This was definitely an unrushed experience, and by the end we were definitely ready to leave, we even skipped dessert. I think by the time we finished dinner to the time we got our check was about 30 minutes. So definitely don’t be in a hurry! The food alone, would be enough to return, though. Absolutely phenomenal!

I have dined at Bolete for both Brunch and Dinner (for New Years Eve). Both times the food and service were top notch. The friendly service in a small dining area were great. The food is unique, presented well, and delicious. They go above and beyond. Lisa was our server on both visits and she was wonderful. Can’t wait to return!

Unfortunately a disappointing experience at one of my favorite restaurants. Came here for an anniversary to celebrate and was very excited days leading up to going out. I got a sweet potato appetizer which was not very impressive, and when my steak entree came out, it was almost well done when it was supposed to be medium. Obviously, when you ask someone how they like their steak cooked, they’re expecting what they want. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen since there were only a few tables in the whole restaurant.

Fantastic dinner – and top quality service. My wife and I will come here every time we are in town… they’ve won us over. Waitress was asked a question about celiac safety for one of the cocktails, and she said she would do the research for us and get back to us. Minutes later one of the owners stopped at the table and assured us the drink would be safe. We didn’t even get to ordering the meal yet and we felt at ease with the degree they were taking this seriously. Then we started overhearing other waitresses at other tables asking if there were any allergies they needed to be aware of for the table. Score. They brought my wife truffle popcorn in place of the dinner rolls. The butterscotch pudding was “celiac safe” (their words) and was delicious!

Eclectic mix of food options and great choice of wine & beer. The seating is very tight and atmosphere is okay. After visiting other fine dining establishments, I do feel Bolete misses the mark in some regards.

We had high hopes for Bolete based on positive feedback we had heard. We had a reservation for 8:30pm. We arrived a little early and were sat at our table around 8:20. The dining area is very tight, crowded and loud. The seating was very uncomfortable and the table was very small. The service was painfully slow.
Once we were seated it took a little bit for menus to be delivered and our waitress to come over. Once the waitress came back to take our drink order, we ordered everything right away because we had a feeling service was going to be slow.
The bread was phenomenal. The drinks, Caesar salad, and tuna appetizer were good. But then we didn’t get our highly anticipated entrees till nearly 10pm. We are unsure what the hold up was since the restaurant had significantly cleared out by 9:30pm. We had ordered the halibut and short rib entrees, which were recommended by the waitress. Entrees looked beautiful but were bland and disappointing. Our waitress would disappear for extended periods of time. We did not get dessert because it was now going on 10:30pm by the time the waitress came back to check on us.
Unfortunately I don’t think we will return. It is severely overpriced and it was an unenjoyable dining experience. There is a parking lot but again, very cramped and not enough spaces to accommodate the size of the establishment.

The food is good. Unique takes on American food. The chocolate chai crème brûlée was an amazing dessert. Their apple cinnamon lemonade was delicious. Butternut squash soup – cannot go wrong. The braised short ribs are delicious and I loved the sauerkraut on the bottom. The biscuits that got soggy turned into dumplings for me which was delicious.
It’s a dark and intimate inside. The atmosphere is not my favorite. A bit dingy. Kind of feels like an American revolution place though which I guess is unique. Gravel parking lot.

We are beyond happy that we decided to go to Bolete for our birthday celebration. It was our first time there, everyone was so friendly, the service was excellent. The food was so flavorful, and everything was cooked to perfection. The butterscotch pudding parfait was a treat! We’ll definitely be going back.
We especially loved all the haunted tales told by Lisa.

Great food, but better enjoyed at the restaurant.
We had the chicken breast and the Moroccan curry leg of lamb. The preparation of the food was spectacular, cooked just right. The flavor was a spot on.
The only downside was in the small plastic containers, typical of Chinese takeout, everything ran together. Still tasted good, but I would prefer the different components in discrete locations. I have had takeout from upscale restaurants in larger plastic containers that would have been appropriate.
There is parking on site. The dining area is are cozy and I would recommend eating there.

Great brunch! Smoked salmon was especially delicious in the Benedict. Loved the butterscotch dessert.
The lobster roll was cold and wasn’t great. Large portions overall.
