We started with the mac and cheese trio, which was absolutely delicious and a great choice to share. For our main course, we had a steak served with Brussels sprouts, and everything was cooked to perfection — flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented.
For dessert, we ordered the brownie, which was excellent. As a very kind and thoughtful gesture, our waiter also brought an extra dessert to enjoy with our espressos, which were rich and delicious.
The lighting is perfect for a romantic dinner or special celebrations, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. The décor is also beautiful and adds to the overall experience.
Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience. We will definitely be back!
We started with appetizers that immediately set a high bar. The famous bacon slab is a mandatory order—it’s thick, savory, perfectly caramelized, and rich enough to share (if you must!). The oysters were pristine, served ice-cold and incredibly fresh, bringing a bright, briny start to the meal. We also devoured the calamari, which was light, crispy, and lacked any trace of oiliness, showing real finesse in the kitchen.
For the main courses, the stars absolutely shone. The steak selection is, without a doubt, world-class. All were was cooked flawlessly to the requested temperature. The quality of the meat was top-tier: tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Even the lighter fare was outstanding; the Ahi Tuna was expertly seared and served with vibrant, complementary flavors that were truly memorable.
One Rare delivers a perfect blend of high-end atmosphere, flawless service, and some of the best food we’ve had in Westchester. It is the ideal spot for a celebration or just a magnificent dinner. We cannot wait to return!
The service was great but the food prep and quality was far subpar for what they charge. I treated my husband for an early NYE dinner, we ordered: seafood tower, tuna tartar, shishito peppers, Cesar salad and mushroom ravioli, and shared a ribeye with a bottle of rosé. They give you 5 crisps for this large mountain of tartar, so obvi have to ask for more. The ravioli and steak were very under seasoned. It was like garlic, rosemary and salt were allergens. The bottle of wine, was a 375 mL (that wasn’t explicitly called out on the menu). Most restaurants don’t skimp and will give you full bottle size but not here. Overall, this place isn’t the best steakhouse in Westchester County, it doesn’t come close in comparison to Hudson Prime in Irvington. Maybe there are dishes that are better prepared that we didn’t get to enjoy but for a steakhouse to ignore the details of a greatly cooked steak, I can’t recommend this place to anyone.
My French onion soup tasted like burnt toast, like the actual broth itself tasted like burnt toast.
The porter house steak was amazing though thankfully but the sides of the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach had little to no flavor so that was disappointing.
We ended our night with our typical espresso martini but when received it tasted very lemony almost like a lemoncello and when I spoke to one of the waiters he told me it’s made”how it’s normally made”
They were getting ready to close so I just drank it and went on my way
Idk if it was the espresso martini that did it or maybe the French onion soup but my stomach has been in knots all day since coming here last night I will have to report back at a later time and give it another chance but for now this is my review and for 300+$ I feel the need to write my experience.
The food was mostly excellent. The bread came out soft and warm. The crab cake was a standout; meaty, lightly breaded, and paired perfectly with corn salsa. The wedge salad was solid, though the bacon leaned a bit too smoky for my taste. For the main, we shared the porterhouse for two, (easily shareable for three) cooked exactly as ordered with a flavorful crust and that buttery richness you hope for in a steakhouse. Dessert was the only miss with the blueberry cobbler cheesecake being a bit dry.
Service was spectacular. Shoutout to Massimo, who made the night special for my friend’s birthday, truly memorable hospitality.
