Great food, good draft tap list. It’s a nice neighborhood bar & bistro that is friendly and welcoming to strangers. Lots of TVs carrying just about everything imaginable, so every seat has a good sight lines to multiple sporting events and racing.

The chicken lettuce cups entree makes a different, great sharable and healthy choice appetizer as an alternative to something deep fried. My handler says the wings are really good. But for me, the “New Yorker” steak sandwich is hands down, one of the best sandwiches I’ve had ANYWHERE. I’ve had 3 total now. I get it cooked rare and it is a 8oz quality cut cooked beautifully rare, not raw and not ruined. The onions on top are perfectly carmelized. And the magic is the rich, creamy homemade bourbon peppercorn sauce on top of the onions, meat and cheese. The roll is fresh and perfectly toasted. I get it with a side salad instead of fries so I can pretend I’m having a low cal dinner. It really is a great accompaniment to the ultimate sandwich.

OTR isn’t cheap, but it is reasonable and is a very good value for money. It can get quite busy at happy hour – we’ve consistently seen all the tables full at 5:30pm on Friday nights, but by 6:30 there’s multiple tables available.

I’ve been here 3 times, 6pm or later. The food is glorious, it’s pricey but it’s such high quality that there’s just no regrets because it’s all that good. The beer battered zucchini? To die for! Sweet potato waffle fries? Seriously!? Serving sizes are great for sharing or takeout. Their cocktail are so very tasty that it’s hard to just have one. I haven’t gotten the same thing twice because I just want to try more. Service is excellent! I’ve been at the bar and at a table and the staff are very chill, friendly, chatty, and accommodating. My friends ordered custom drinks and they were happy to take on challenges. Sometimes the place gets a bit too loud for my liking but it’s a wonderful spot to hangout none the less.

I wasn’t going to write a google review, but after the owners attacked me with a emoji on a Facebook foodie group…I’ve changed my mind. Let it be known. Recently the owners let go of their Monday through Wednesday bartender of more than three years, apparently so a family member could take over those shifts. That wasn’t the final nudge for me to write an honest review. It’s their complete disregard for professional behavior as owners representing their establishment.

I’ve been coming here since it was Frank’s. I worked nearby for a long time, so it was a go to spot for lunch and a familiar face. Over the years, the experience has steadily gone downhill.

The owners are almost never there. On the rare occasions I’ve seen Matt, he looked miserable. No one expects owners to be on site all the time, but if you are going to show up, at least seem invested.

Service used to be the main reason to come here. Outside of weekday lunches, it has been consistently poor. On more than one visit, we were ignored entirely until Sheyenne stepped in and saved the situation. Without her, we would not have been acknowledged, let alone served.

The food used to be great and had real potential, but it has become wildly inconsistent. A dive bar trying to run a boutique menu just does not work, it needs either a revamp or a rebrand.

Stocking is another issue. Multiple times they have been out of basic products, which tells me inventory and bar management are not a priority.

The only reason I kept coming back was the longtime bartender who actually built relationships with customers and brought people in. Giving her five shifts’ notice, at Christmas, after more than three years of loyalty, so a family member could take over, shows a serious lack of professionalism. You might make the same choice for your own kid, but there is a right and wrong way to treat people who helped build your business.

Before the owners try to dismiss this as slander, everything here is based on first hand experience. I have receipts and have watched other customers deal with the same issues.

I have been a loyal customer for three years. This review reflects exactly what I have experienced. I won’t be back.

This place is far too underrated I’m Tucson, the atmosphere, the team running the place, the bartenders , the cook. All come together to make this the place to come for a good bite to eat and a drink to end the day or even start it. Afternoon menus offering a unique food experience you wouldn’t expect to have at a bar. Awesome weekend events, live music, stand up comedy, and even trivia nights. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great pace for a bite to eat and a great place to have a drink and meet interesting people. Don’t skip on this spot.

I love this place! It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and hospitality so well. The owners, Matt and Kyla, are incredible and really care about their employees, customers, and community. The menu is great, the drinks are poured well, and the vibe is on point. Whether you’re here for a meal or just a drink at the bar, I highly recommend OTR! Support local y’all.

A very friendly place. Bar staff was very courteous and food well prepared. Stopped in for a drink and ended up staying for dinner. This is definitely an upgrade from what the last place was at this location. Will definitely be going back for another round.

Went for dinner with my wife. We had great meals and drinks. Staff was very friendly. We may have a new spot to frequent.

This place is great! A bunch of seating, TVs, pool tables, and darts. Their drink and food menu has a wide variety. We had a great server that was attentive and provided us with drink recommendations. Definitely will go back.

Service was great. Great sports bar. Looks like maybe home of Da Bears.
Only slight complaint was I ordered chicken wings well done. They were not. My personal opinion is the skin needs to be crispy not under done and floppy. But great flavor on the garlic parm and the mild. Great blue cheese dressing.

Loved my latest visit to On The Rocks. Finding a place on Sunday after the morning NFL games is usually challenging.
The service staff are plentiful and friendly which keeps everything moving like it should on busy game days. There are lots of TVs to find your game on and good sight lines to see them.
Sunday’s has a special game day menu with great prices and excellent food and drink choices. These are some of the best wing prices in town and these wings are good sized.
Looking forward to my next trip here to watch a game and enjoy a beer.
