I’ve always been curious about this little takeout only spot across the street from Target. There’s a small lot out front. Walk inside and the friendly staff will walk you through the menu. I ordered the pita with chicken and all the toppings. I made the mistake of adding corn for fifty cents and the green chutney. The flavors were odd and I didn’t enjoy it. However, it was my mistake. If I had gone with the spicy white sauce and their special sauce, it would have been delicious! It’s messy to eat so grab lots of napkins!

I happened to be working in the area and had a taste for some fries and something I don’t eat often but like. I looked up greek food near me and Omar’s Pitas & Platters were close by (down the street). I ordered the meal for $15 which included a pita, fries and a canned drink. I got a crispy chicken pita with the spicy white sauce and Omar’s Signature sauce. I devoured the fries (not pictured) and am having a hard time trying not to eat the rest of my pita which is intended for my lunch tomorrow because it is so good. I will definitely be back.

I heard this was the best platter in the DMV and decided to drive an hour to try it—and yes, it was absolutely worth it! The jerk chicken was tender and full of flavor, paired perfectly with the rice. The portion size is generous, the toppings are fresh, and the price is amazing for the quality you get. Definitely one of the best platters I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

I love Omar’s. I just recently discovered it. It’s like an advanced chipotle spot, so much better, richer flavor, great portions. Amazing food. Chicken is always well cooked. They give you enough food for at least two meals BUT out of the 5 times I’ve ate here, I’ve found a bug in my salad twice 🙁 I wish they would wash their salad because it seems like they don’t. I’m still going to eat here I will just stop asking for the salad because uh yeah, it be killing the vibe ngl. So if you want to peacefully eat here, probably don’t order the salad. Haven’t found bugs in anything else 🙂

Stopped by Omar’s today and got a crispy chicken pita (meal deal with fries and a drink). It was fantastic! Super fresh ingredients, hot fries, and great selection for drinks. One of the best pitas I’ve had in minute.
Only downside is they don’t have seating inside or outside, so we sat on the curb in the parking lot.

Hands down, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! The flavors were incredibly rich and vibrant, and the sauces they offer are absolute game-changers. I mean, who doesn’t love a good sauce?! The serving portions were generous, to say the least, and the quality of the food was top-notch.
From the moment the food arrived, I knew we were in for a treat. The presentation was beautiful, and the aromas wafting from the plate were incredible. Each bite was a flavor explosion that left me wanting more.

I drove by and saw a line so I looked it up and saw a 4.9 rating. The truth is this is a 5.0 and it didn’t disappoint. I had a jerk plate and a lamb pita. It was sooooooooooooooo good. I will definitely be back. I didn’t take a picture of the food because i ate it right away lol. The portion for the platter was so big my husband and I each ate some and then we shared the pita lamb. I ordered on line and it was so fast. Walked in and it was very clean. The team was friendly and I got my food right away.

I happened to be nearby and had no lunch plans, so I swung by Omar’s for some jerk chicken and boy, am I glad I did! It was pretty busy, so I waited probably 5 minutes for the food, but staff were very friendly and there was a chill mood in the shop. The food was… WOW. The pita was huge and so well-filled it barely fit, jerk chicken delicious, hot, tender and with a real kick of flavour! I will definitely be back!

I would have given this a 5 star as the food and portions has always been good but recently I’ve had the same issue where the portions or requests of rice portions has been lower. You pay extra for a side of fries and drink ($5-6) which is fine, before they would fill the boxes to the brim of fries and now you barely get it half full. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt but again today they only filled these containers half full. I have always asked for my bowl to have more rice in stead of veggies by my bowl was made normal. I have always disliked the layout of how you order as you order to the right and all the sides/extra topping are all the way to the left. And they just prepare you bowl completely so you have no chance to add anything or correct them if they do something wrong. Regardless i hope they will improve their portions to what they once were because I love the food and flavor of everything. It is all fresh and delicious.

I had people recommend me try Omar’s. SO GLAD I DID. I was that customer and got there 30 minutes before close…but the workers were so kind. Unlike other halal joints you order at the cashier and then they make it for you. Portions are great, protein, toppings and sauces are a good variety to pick and choose from. I got their jerk chicken…which was AMAZING. IMO this so much better than any local halal gyro spots in the area. Also just found out this is family owned business. I’ll definitely be coming back!
