Omar’s Hi-Way Chef Restaurant is a favorite of the Locals. Located inside the Tucson Truck Terminal in Tucson, Arizona, the Triple T was founded by Ira T. and Sallie Sue Morris in 1954. In 1966 the truck stop moved from East Benson Hwy. to Interstate 10 at Craycroft Road (exit #268). The menu at Omar’s Hi-Way Chef is a classic truck stop fare with an emphasis on 24/7 breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our entrée selections are diverse, offering plates representative of an American Bistro, a Mexican Cantina, and an Italian Trattoria combined under ONE roof making the menu one of the most extensive menus around. The dessert selections begin with our signature dessert, the Deep Dish Hot Apple Pie, mounded with soft serve ice cream.
Comfy, storied 24/7 roadside joint offering hearty American comfort food & all-day breakfast.

Great food, fun employees, and right off the highway
Over the years we have explored most of the menu and I still almost always order breakfast
plenty of parking
I Will definitely be a customer . The food and service were top notch thanks
My wife ordered a Tea and a Cheeseburger, which she said tasted like it was homemade and was delicious.
I ordered the Club Sandwich and a Lemonade. I was totally blown away. The Lemonade was fresh squeezed and was Amazing. My Club tasted Amazing as well.
The inside looks way better than the 70’s style to a more modern look and feel.
The older woman who was waiting on us was in a good mood and very prompt.
They even added a little bar area, within the dinner upgrade, that has counter seating.
When we left my Wife and I discussed the changes and food and said it was for the better.
I would definitely recommend it if you are passing through.
Stop and Enjoy
They just updated the menu and prices with some substantial price increases. I was disappointed to see 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees cost me over $50!!! I know it’s a sign of the times, but a dozen eggs costs $2-3 at any market, and adding an extra egg to my plate was nearly $4 extra!! So I’ll be passing on this location from now on. It’s good, but not that good.
Open 24 hours, working overnights this place comes in clutch when nothing else is open. Great diner options, good portion sizes, and ok prices. I don’t mind spending if the food is worth it. This place, after several visits, hits the nail on the head every time!
Foods always fresh, service is friendly, restaurant is super clean inside. Doesn’t always look open from the outside. But they are.
