Celebrated my anniversary here. I was surprised by the quality of the food. And the price we paid for.
A little sad the kitchen was not set for omakase we couldn’t see chef making sushi for us. But that’s no biggie compared to having a really good quality of the food.
The sashimi size are huge. The food are fresh. This is definitely one of my favorite spot to eat sushi in Raleigh.
And you need to try it yourself. !!!

came here for our birthday and mom‘s first Omakase experience. Had an absolutely wonderful time. The fish was so fresh and the Omakase was definitely worth the price. Everything was special and made to order. Though it is not the classic Omakase experience that I was expecting (in regular Omakase pieces are usually placed one by one in front of you.) the approach still worked and was absolutely delicious. I have been back since!

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it did not disappoint. We came for dinner on a saturday night and had reservations, but looked like there was still plenty of seating even if you didn’t have reservations. We started with the hamachi jalapeño crispy rice which was absolutely delicious and a great started. I don’t typically eat raw sushi, so I got the godzilla roll which was also great. My husband did the sashimi moriawase omakase and he loved everything. All of our food came out in a decent time. All the courses of the meal tasted great. We shared the creme brulee dessert, which had a coffee flavor to it and definitely enjoyed it! Our server was nice and checked on us frequently. We will definitely be back for another special occasion! We were not able to find street parking so we parted in the parking deck across the street and the restaurant validated our ticket for an hour.

Great food! I especially loved the Godzilla sushi — highly recommended. There’s a wide variety of Asian dishes, but the waitstaff could improve their knowledge of the menu to better explain the options.

I only had a specialty roll, and 2 pcs salmon belly nigiri, but let me tell you my mouth was watering for more. The Totoro roll was unique, and had the perfect amount of flavors meshing together well. The salmon belly melted in my mouth. If only I had the chance to try the omakase. Will definitely return!

Incredible food and great service. We went for a nice night out and got classic omakase, which was expensive but completelt worth it. We were stuffed by the end of the night, and every bite was great. I personally loved the scallop sashimi and the uni nigiri, and there’s so much variety. The staff could easily accommodate our allergy, and was helpful in explaining the order and process for how to best enjoy our meal. I also appreciated the sake offerings, and would recommend sake to accomoany your meal. Parking nearby was easy to validate, and we can’t wait to get back.

Went here for dinner with a few friends, give them an Omakase experience. They loved it, but I wasn’t impressed. Sashimi wasn’t cut precisely, tuna tartare had an ever so slight fishy taste, and some of the other fish didn’t seem to be at the premium level I’d expect for an omakase. It wasn’t bad, but for $150 for the premium experience, I personally don’t think it was worth it. I would 100% go here for other sushi, just don’t think I’d order the omakase again.

One of the best sushi places in Raleigh, with excellent ambiance and great service. The hand rolls, nigiri and other rolls are the best. The omakase is nice but a la carte ordering is excellent too. The toro appetizer is to die for. The uni nigiri and toro, uni, caviar “taco” is exquisite, very decadent and good. The uni is all very fresh. The torched salmon belly nigiri with salmon roe, ordered off menu, is mind blowing. I want to become a regular here, this is the best sushi place in downtown Raleigh!!

If you’re going to do the Omakase, make sure you are hungry. My husband and I went for the premium omakase to share between the 2 of us and by the time they brought out the 4th plate we were un-tightening our belts. It’s a LOT of food. Very very yummy food. The green tea cheesecake is the best I have had ever. It is the perfect balance of sweet and earthy. I cannot wait to come back to try more things on the menu.
