I stopped by this café for a quick afternoon coffee and snack and ended up enjoying some baklava with a Turkish coffee. I was initially thinking of staying for dinner, but I wasn’t quite hungry that day, although I’m definitely planning to return for a full dining experience.

The place has a lively, casual vibe and offers a mix of German and Mediterranean dishes such as gyros, large salads, schnitzel, and more. They also have an impressive selection of German beers, various coffee options, and plenty of baked treats.

I ordered two slices of pistachio baklava, which were really good- fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The Turkish coffee was authentic and exactly what I expected. Overall, a nice quick stop, and I’m looking forward to coming back to explore more of their menu.

Having visited Olympus Beer Garden for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I’ve found it to be a consistent staple of the iconic Castro Street scene in Mountain View. For a morning start, their omelette and coffee are top-tier, though the hash browns could definitely be crispier and more seasoned. Transitioning into lunch or dinner, the beer is undoubtedly amazing, capturing those authentic German flavors that are hard to find elsewhere, and the pretzel is the perfect salty companion. However, the food during the later meals was a bit hit-or-miss; while the atmosphere is great, the chicken felt a bit dry and would benefit from a lot more seasoning to match the bold flavors of the drinks. It’s an unbeatable spot for the location and the brews, but a few tweaks to the kitchen’s consistency would make it perfect.

Always a great experience. Good food and good beer. They sell Liters!
The gyro bowl is good and a good amount of food. The schnitzel is good, I like the plate more than the sandwich.

Wow. One of the best Weiner Schnitzel made with real veal and the breading is thin not thick resulting in a very crispy dish. To try.

Good stop to sit outside and enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is decent. Our BF was mostly tomatoes, onions, and peppers. Not much spices besises salt. If you are in the mood of simple food, this can be your spot.

I had the pleasure of discovering Olympus Caffe & Bakery in Downtown Mountain View, and it’s easily one of the Bay Area’s most charming hidden gems! Here’s why it deserves all the stars:

️ Ambiance & Service
• Warm, inviting interior with a lovely patio—perfect for savoring a coffee or draft German beer from their BierGarten-style selection  .
• The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting us with genuine smiles and helpful menu guidance.

☕ Drinks
• Their coffee lineup is exceptional—standouts include the smooth Turkish Coffee and refreshing Turkish Latte ().
• Wide variety of hot teas, Chai, Matcha, and more—every sip was flavorful and well-balanced.

Food
• Breakfast: I had the Turkish Breakfast platter—featuring cheeses, olives, simit, sigara boregi, honey, and boiled egg—all wonderfully fresh and rich in flavor.
• Crepes & omelettes: Generous portions with perfectly balanced fillings (spinach, feta, mushrooms—delicious!).
• Bakery: The baklava and pistachio croissants are divine—flaky, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect.
• Dinner/Lunch: Tried the gyro and bratwurst platter—both were expertly cooked and satisfying, with crisp fries and savory sides   .

Overall

Everything is prepared with care, balancing traditional Turkish flavors with Mediterranean flair. The bakery, full bar, and German beer garden patio make it a versatile spot—whether you’re stopping by for a cozy breakfast, a leisurely lunch, or an evening drink.

Olympus Caffe & Bakery is a stellar 5‑star experience—phenomenal food, superb drinks, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere that blends Turkish, Mediterranean, and German influences. A must‑visit in Mountain View!

Unique cafe with international pastries and food. I especially liked the chocolate baklava. Great selection of bier! Wonderful garden seating under large trees. Easy access from Cal Train. Great shopping near by. A great place for a day’s outing of shopping and once you have an appetite, stop here to satisfy your palate.

This is not Menemen. This is insult to Menemen. This meal is some mix of vegetables with scrambled egg. That’s it. Your chefs need to learn what is Menemen and how to cook it.

Went in to try the viral Tres Leches cake and i was not disappointed. It was yumm! Delicious flavors and super moist, served dipped in condensed milk (i guess). We also tried the baklavas. They were great too! Would go back for savory dishes next time.
