Olive Mediterranean Restaurant is hands down the best Mediterranean food I’ve found in Fort Lauderdale and Plantation. The dishes are exquisite, full of authentic Middle Eastern flavor, and incredibly fresh. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and generous portions.
The restaurant is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Being family-managed, the service feels genuine and personal, making it a truly family-oriented place. Outstanding food, great value, and a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

The food was great. Everything came out extremely fresh And Cook to order the atmosphere was very welcoming made you feel as if you were coming to a family’s house for lunch I can only imagine dinner. The mint lemonade is definitely a go to especially on these warm days even on this chilly day it’s refreshing. Be sure to try Everything that catches your eye as it is very appeasing filling and delightful.

This hidden gem serves some of the most delicious Mediterranian-style cuisine I have ever had. My SO and I split a Halloumi cheese appetizer, which was recommended by the chef/owner Aysar. The presentation and the taste were top-notch. Next, I ordered the mixed grill for 1, which came with 3 different kabobs (chicken, lamb, and kafta ground beef), a generous portion of rice, a roasted tomato and a small side salad. The food was delicious and the portions were huge.
The service staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. The menu accommodates dietary restrictions and has plenty of options for vegetarians and those with dairy and gluten intolerances. Chef/owner Aysar is a kind man who successfully ensures that patrons leave with their bellies full and a smile on their face.
Overall, my SO and I had an incredible experience here and for anyone that is looking for a new place to try out, look no further. We will be back to here again soon

Food was excellent! Visited with the family and everyone (including someone in our party with dairy and nut allergies) ate their fill! This is a true gem in the community! The facility was beautiful as well…men’s room was modern and clean…usually a strong indicator of cleanliness in my opinion!

This Mediterranean restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What really sets this place apart is the staff, they’re some of the friendliest, most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered. Olivo is a true Mediterranean gem. Everything we ordered was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The shawarma pita pocket was perfectly seasoned and tender, the Fatteh hummus was rich and flavorful, and the baklava with ice cream was the perfect sweet finish.

The food is excellent! I had the grape leaves, hummus with pita as an appetizer….so so good! My taste buds begged for more! The lamb (large pieces) on the rod was fantastic with rice. The food is so fresh & authentic… I will return!! The owner & staff are so friendly & kind.

The food was honestly shocking. The falafel was rock hard on the outside and somehow mushy in the middle. The gyro meat tasted reheated and rubbery. The tzatziki had this weird watery texture, like it had been sitting in a fridge uncovered for days. Nothing tasted fresh. Nothing tasted seasoned. It was bland at best and borderline spoiled at worst.
Portions were small, prices were high, and the overall vibe felt grimy and disorganized. Tables were left uncleared for way too long, staff were arguing within earshot of customers, and the music was so loud we could barely hear each other.
This wasn’t just a “bad night.” This felt like a restaurant that has completely given up. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — there are so many better Mediterranean spots out there that actually care about their food and customers.

My husband I used to order from here every week before the new management/ownership. Unfortunately we’ve noticed a change in the food and most notably the lack of commitment to answering the phones. I noticed the number on their website is different than in google, and for months we’ve tried calling in orders and get sent to voice mail time and time again. We orders online and they had system issues and though our card was charged, the order never came through for them. They’ve lost our business; which is too bad because we genuinely liked their food and deserts.
