I particularly enjoyed the Caesar salad—it was fresh and well-prepared. There was a bit of a wait for the steak, but the staff kindly let us know they were short-staffed that evening. Parking was a bit of a challenge, as there’s no nearby parking, so I had to valet my car. Despite that, it’s a great place to gather with friends for drinks and appetizers if you’re looking for a stylish spot to unwind. Just plan for a bit of extra time if it’s a busy night.
We started with a side of caviar, served with crème fraîche and Yukon potato chips—an odd pairing that didn’t quite elevate the dish. The Caesar salad was filling but forgettable.
For our mains, we opted for three dishes:
• 8oz Filet Mignon – Cooked well with a nice sear, but it lacked that wow factor. A top-tier steakhouse would easily outshine this dish.
• Grilled Branzino – While stunning in presentation and generous in portion, it was overcooked, dry, and lacking flavor. A sauce or garnish could have helped elevate it, but as prepared, it fell flat.
• Paccheri with Vodka Sauce – Surprisingly, the standout of the night. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the vodka sauce had depth, a lingering hint of spice, and richness that set it apart from the other dishes. If I were to return, I’d skip the fish and steak and focus on the pasta offerings instead.
Service was polished, and the setting alone makes Olivetta worth visiting. If you’re here for a night of cocktails and ambiance, you won’t be disappointed. But if you’re expecting an elite fine-dining experience, choose your dishes wisely—some shine, while others struggle to live up to the restaurant’s glamorous aesthetic.
They have a fairly large menu with a lot of great options on it. We started off with a Squash Blossoms, which were absolutely fantastic. I have ordered these all over town and this is definitely one of the better versions. I was a bit disappointed that it only comes with three which is a hard number to share so I wish the portion size would’ve been a bit larger for this. Next we followed with the Caesar Salad and it was great. Again, not a very large sized portion, but still tasty flavorwise. For my entrée, I chose the Creste Di Gallo because having the bone marrow scooped in right before you eat is an unbeatable addition to me. It was a true treat. I love bone marrow anything so this was great pasta. The bone marrow itself added a great flavor and a crunch to the meal, which I truly loved. We also ordered the special for the day, which was the Dungeness Crab Tagliatelle. It was absolutely fantastic and had a ton of crab on it. The sauce was truly what made the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. For dessert we topped off the meal with the Brown Sugar Budino and I definitely would recommend it. It was sweet and salty and actually a great sized portion. it was a great end of the meal.
Overall, I would say Olivetta is a great date spot. It’s very lively and very noisy but in a fun way. They play the music quite loud so it has a very Friday night kind of feel to it. I would recommend and will try it again sometime in the near future.
We had a very satisfying meal. It’s a little on the pricier side, but the ambiance, portions and service all meet the expectation of what you’re paying for.
Nothing we ordered absolutely blew our minds, but everything overall was very good. We will definitely be coming back.
We had the squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta (3) and baked prawns (4) to split as apps. I got the raviolo from their truffle menu; it was the first time I had such a giant stuffed pasta and this is also what made me realize ravioli is the plural form of the word. My sister got the bone marrow pasta which they cut and topped right before serving, and my dad got the lobster bucatini. The bucatini was fresh and cooked al dente. For dessert, we ended with the chocolate ball. I was unfortunate to have missed the melting of the ball since I was in the restroom but the dessert itself was tasty.
For food we got the Wagyu Tartare, Radiatore, and the Brussel Sprouts!
All were great!
