Location was great! Atmosphere was cozy. Food was awesome as was the drinks, both spirit and spiritless. Our server, Stephanie was wonderful at suggestions as we were drained from being at the hospital for hours. Was a great first time experience!

Visited for the 1st time on Wednesday night to try something new. The hostess was super kind and accommodating when we asked to move tables to a more quiet and private area.
Our waiter Dave help with suggestions for appetizers and was attentive the whole visit.
Tried the turkey meatballs (picture below) for the starter. Friend tried the grilled cheese with truffle fries and I tried the pulled chicken sandwich with regular fries.
Everything was delicious and the apple slaw that comes with the pulled chicken was to die for.
Thank you for a great 1st experience with your restaurant. I will be back.

I stopped in for my first time around 1:30. They were moderately busy. Service was excellent. I was seated right away. Ordered the Olive burger, something I’ve always wanted to try, and it was absolutely delicious. Very large meat patties, lots of cheese, sauce was a little runny, but excellent. I had it with the chips, which were also delicious. I’m anxious to return and try some of the other menu items. Highly recommended.

Eating at Olives was a joyful experience in culinary excellence. It is a must try restaurant in the gas light district. Simple but delicious menu and we are definitely going back. Easy parking and both indoor and outdoor dining. They also have a membership program for wine connoisseurs. We had the burger and the club sandwich and also the Michigan salad. I believe anything you try on their menu you will fully enjoy. And you got to at least try them once the truffle fries. Because of our schedule we were unfortunately unable to sample their desserts but they sounded delightful. Next time for sure.

I had a business lunch here with several coworkers, and everything was great. Service was attentive and quick, and the place looks modern without being cold. The caprese sandwich was flavorful without being heavy, and the truffle fries, while excellent, were maybe a bit too rich for me. The quality of the food was excellent, and I’d definitely dine here again.

I rarely leave reviews for restaurants but this place is amazing. Im visiting from MD and was intrigued by the menu. I’m not a martini gal but figured I would check this place out. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was really cozy, and the wait staff are super friendly. We ordered the turkey meatballs, the grain bowl, and the short rib pot roast. We also ordered the table bread as an appetizer. My dad scarfed down the pot roast while my mom and I shared the meatballs and grain bowl. I can tell you that these were the best meatball I’ve ever had. They were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The grain bowl was super fresh with an explosion of local veggies. Everything was super fresh and it was evident it was made to order. We were told the restaurant has a new chef. Whoever that chef is, I wish they would open something closer to my hometown. This place was an amazing surprise and, if you like fresh food by an amazing and creative chef, def stop by for dinner.

Olive’s food is SO GOOD! They’ve had a little menu revamp and we were thoroughly impressed. The meatloaf was amazing. We are definitely adding this to our go to dinner spot list. I’d highly recommend trying to sit outside on the patio in the summer time. The service can be slower and could use some improvement, but the great attitudes and food make up for it.

My son and his fiancee were visiting from Wisconsin and we were looking for a place to have a Michigan olive burger. What better place than Olives? We all had an olive burger (my husband and I split one). It was two 3 oz smashburgers, plus olive/mayo sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and Swiss cheese. It was messy, but very good. My only complaint is that burgers were under-done (deep pink inside), We upgraded to truffle fries as a side. There was very little taste of truffles and they were very salty. The garlic aoli served with them was delicious. One of our party upgraded her side to the Michigan side salad and that was very good.
We were seated inside. The restaurant decor was attractive, but it was a bit noisy and the chairs were hard. Restrooms were located down several steps, part of which had no hand rail.

This was me and my wife’s first time to Olives. It’s been on our list for quite some time, but just hadn’t had time to check it out until recently. We walked away incredibly impressed. My wife got the Dan Dan noodles and it was spectacular. I got the chicken salad sandwich and fries and was pleased 🙂 We loved the food and the atmosphere. Service was perfect as well! We also got the Elote dip, which was awesome- we just wanted to keep eating it!!
Worth traveling to check out! We will Definitely be back!!!
