Hands down the best pork tenderloin sandwich in the area. It’s so good, I’ve never tried anything else on the menu, but I’m guessing it is all good as well. The drinks are delicious and cold. The service has always been great and the atmosphere is a good vibe.

The food is really good. The staff is pretty friendly. Drinks are good. Nice location with easy parking. It’s a hotel bar, but open to the public and a fun place to go and relax. Good crowd typically, but it’s usually not busy enough to not hear your company, but it’s a nice place to have some apps and drinks and good conversation.

Let me first say I had never had a bad meal at Oliver’s — Kankakee or Bradley. Both places I’ve enjoyed some stellar meals.
So I’m hoping Friday night (6/13) was just a hiccup.
I’m giving my overall Oliver’s experience 4 stars but this last meal was 1 star at best.
My wife opted for two appetizers as her meal. Bone in hot wings and the pretzel bites with hot cheese. She’s a former restaurant manager so she knows a thing or two about food quality. She thought the chicken wings tasted off like they was near their expiration date. The pretzels weren’t as she remembered from a previous visit. Not fluffy but kinda hard and stale.
My meal was the all-you-can-eat fish. I loved the French fries and the coleslaw was some of the best I’ve ever had. But the first order of fish came out with breading soaking wet — like the oil temperature wasn’t hot enough. I asked for two more pieces of fish and they were very crispy and far more appetizing. I washed down my meal with a 3 floyds gumballhead. The beer is my all-time favorite and I know what it drinks like. Oliver’s needs to clean its tap lines.
We paid $62 with tip. Not the most memorable meal at Oliver’s. There’s always next time.

Delicious dinner yesterday. Thank you for the kind service! Outstanding New England Cod! The light buttery crumb topping really made the difference! Cooked to perfection, including the veggies that came with it! & the boneless wings were outstanding. Husband ordered off their Winter menu, as I did. Portions were a delight, & we both had leftovers! We will be back!

New on the menu!!! Mac N Cheese with pork on a grilled Italian buttered Paninu. It was absolutely delicious with my COLD Blue Moon Beer. The sandwich was HUGE People. I only could eat half . Great customer service and the restaurant was spacious inside and clean. Seems like a lot of regulars eat here. Will see you for Breakdast. Thanks Oliver

If I could leave zero stars i would. Midway through my dinner I went to the restroom. I witnessed a male bartender/barracks use the restroom and leave without washing his hands. I was told “well they have a sink behind the bar that they use” UMMM EXCUSE ME! That’s disgusting, and if the health board knew about it, they’d be shut down! FYI, I paid full price for my dinner and gave a 50% tip. The ONLY issue i had was with the male bartender being utterly disgusting. It wasn’t the kitchens or the servers fault. This wasn’t about a free meal. This is all about maintaining a good/healthy experience for the patrons.
