My first time trying Olive Tree & I was pretty impressed! My family raves about this place. All of the food was good, lots of options! Docking a star because it’s a tad pricey for the environment/decor setting they have going on which is pretty casual. Would’ve definitely recommend.

Hubs & I went with a friend to Olive Tree Café in S. Charleston for an early Father’s Day supper last night (6/17/23).

Fantastic! So much flavor and all the ingredients were so fresh. I had the Mediterranean Grilled Cheese with the gourmet potato salad and the cucumber tomato side. Everything was sooo good. My wife had a chicken wrap which she liked. We shared the Baba Ghanoush and Stuffed Grape Leaves; both excellent, as appetizers and a piece of Baklawa for dessert. We left stuffed and happy. Can’t wait to go back and try other options.

Great place!!! Highly recommended. We were in town for my husband’s graduation and decided to try this place since it was near our hotel. It was wonderful! The waitress was awesome. We were the only ones who sat outside and let me tell you, the outdoor heater was perfect. We love the charcuterie board, Greek salad, and baklava cheesecake.

This was only my second time eating here. Service was fast but friendly in doing so. The food was top notch. We sat outside under the covered patio which had elevated heaters which would make it amazing on a cool to slightly chilly day. The fried feta was killer. I need an entire jar of that apricot preserve. I had a very well stacked turkey club and my wife had the Reuben. We both got fries as a side which were mighty tasty themselves. I saw plenty of other items go by which all looked fantastic as well.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Tonight, we tried to go for dinner but we never were waited on by the host. There were 10 people waiting by the door to be seated, at least 6 employees running around the restaurant and no one acknowledged we were waiting to be seated. After waiting for 10 minutes, a waitress stated they were short staffed but there were only 9 occupied tables. We waited another five minutes and just left. This is the second time we have gone here and not been waited at the door. The previous time the host told us they weren’t seating any tables after 7 PM. Very disappointing as the food is usually excellent. If only we could ever get to a table. Unfortunately, it will be awhile before we go back to see if the service improves. I highly recommend the Chinese restaurant nearby.

My family has dined here many times. It is an incredible local restaurant. That being said, our last visit was not so great. If you go in and they are too busy to seat you or it looks crowded, come back another day. I wish my family had done that. We were seated by the owner. Unfortunately, he was overwhelmed and we were forgotten. We were overlooked the whole evening. No drink refills, no food for over an hour. At one point, the owner came to explain that our food was served to another table. I had to get up and literally go look for someone to bring us our food. The food during our past visits was spot on, hot and delicious. Not this evening. Food was not like our previous visits. Very disappointing. And, no one came to collect our final bill. We waited by the front register many minutes. Not a great experience at all.

We came in from out of town and were unexpectedly stranded for the night. Tired and hungry we called 10 min prior to restaurant closing and asked if they had vegan options and could possibly stay open for a couple minutes so we could get some food. They were more than willing to be accommodating. We were allowed to drink some wine as we waited for the best falafel, Greek salad, stuffed grape leaves, and more that we have ever had. The owner helped us kindly to be able to get back on the road in the morning.

My meal was good, but not outstanding. I had the 7″ Real Philly with a generous portion of beef. It was very tasty, but it was challenging to keep the melted cheese from running down my fingers. I used my napkin constantly. Sweet iced tea was perfect with lemon! Our waitress, Rachel, was very attentive and pleasantly positive despite being busy! The two other meals served to my wife and our friend did not meet their expectations!

We were just passing through, and the lady at our hotel recommended The Olive Tree. We are so happy she did! The food was the best that we’ve had on our trip all week, and the service was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the cooler evening. It was the perfect way to end a long day of driving.
