Amazing atmosphere and food. The service is really fast. Thank you to our waiter Katie who made sure we were happy all night. The staff and security are so friendly which is a rare find really makes all the difference. The food was also amazing which surprised me as I thought this place was just entertainment and drinks sort of vibe! We had a booth front row and it was perfect for me and my friend to dance around without being uncomfortable.

Adam was great, he moved us to a better table as we requested a booth to celebrate our friends engagement! He recommended lovely wine similar to our favourite whispering angel! His service was 5 star and the whole atmosphere was amazing! We really felt looked after and would hurry back tomorrow! The perfect place to celebrate any occasion thank you

food was incredible! definitely recommend the truffle cacio e pepe, best truffle pasta i’ve had in manchester! meatballs as a starter were lush too. ambience great and the aesthetic, can imagine would be even more amazing with the live music but unfortunately we missed it as our table was booked for 10.30pm. our server luca was great!

i booked louis for my 25th birthday and had such a lovely experience! the venue is absolutely stunning, the food was delicious, and the live performers were incredible. our waiter, ibby, was so sweet and really made my night feel special (even though they forgot my birthday champagne ). there was a small overcharge on the bill, but it was sorted straight away, so no complaints there. overall, a beautiful place for a special occasion i’d definitely recommend and would 100% go back again!

Visited recently. The space is beautiful with a nice ambience, but the experience didn’t live up to it. Service was surprisingly average, very reactive rather than proactive, with little effort to guide or elevate the meal. The strict no-photography approach felt outdated and uncomfortable in 2025. Most disappointing was the food. It was largely mediocre, and the breaded mussel dish was genuinely unpleasant in both taste and texture. For a venue of this positioning, the overall experience fell well short of expectations.

Walking into Louis took us right back to our time in NYC! The speakeasy vibe of the place paired with live singers/bands is perfect for a lush girls night or even a lively date spot, service from Ali was 10/10 with his recommendations, we went for the (was undercooked ) , crispy potatoes & enjoyed a baked New York cheesecake kindly on the house. Mocktails were okay went for the No-groni & the strawberry lemonade. They do operate a no photos policy due to ‘high profile’ clientele which I don’t think you’d get much of in the middle of Manchester, but we did capture some photos of our memorable night. I would go back to try more of the food & to enjoy another nice night out as it is something different than the other restaurants in Manchester.

Came for my 21st birthday on a Thursday night, alls i can say is everything was 10/10, no extra charge for live music, reasonable price for 2 steaks. Free desert & free shots prior to meal, cannot fault this place at all, will 100000% be back❤️

The interior at Louis is stunning – no doubt about that. My visit was definitely an interesting one.
We were welcomed nicely and shown to our table quickly, but the first waitress wasn’t very friendly and didn’t bring the water I asked for. Thankfully, a different waitress took over and was much more polite and helpful.
We had the “Taste of Louis” set menu – great flavours and surprisingly filling despite the small portions. However, £12 for just seven tiny potato pieces felt a bit ridiculous.
Also, there’s a £5 live music fee, but the band was on a break for most of our visit, so we only got about 10-15 minutes of music, which felt like a letdown.
Lastly, while the restaurant is known for its no-photo policy, we saw people snapping pics with flash, so I went ahead and took some too – seemed like the rule wasn’t really enforced.
Overall, it’s a cool place and feels special at first, but parts of it felt a bit pretentious. I can see why some people would love it for a big occasion, but it wasn’t fully for me.

Just had the most flawless solo meal at Louis in Spinningfields. Started with oysters – briny, fresh, served ice-cold with just the right mignonette. Then the branzino croccante: perfectly crisp skin, flaky white flesh, lemon-herb notes singing through every bite. Paired with a side of wilted spinach and roasted garlic – simple, buttery, seasoned to perfection.
Drinks? Kicked off with a Garibaldi – bright, bittersweet Campari-orange punch. The bar staff were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, guiding me through the champagne list and even pouring a couple of tasters to help me decide. Settled on Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle – pure elegance, complex, and celebratory.
Service was seamless, atmosphere pure glamour. No fuss – just great food, great drinks, and that old-school charm. Louis doesn’t miss. Already planning the return.
