When we arrived at Olive Garden, we were kindly greeted at the door by Kevin. Once we were seated, we learned that our waitress was named Lilly. We experienced an excellent lunch at Olive Garden. We visited on a Monday for lunch. Our waitress was full of smiles and everything ran smoothly. She was graciously accommodating. She consistently reminded us that the food was served in dishes that were warm at the bottom, with the exception of the salad. There was an abundance of fresh food available. There was an abundance of joy on display by our waitress Lilly. She genuinely communicated in a way that showed that she enjoyed her job. Additionally, the restaurant bathrooms were clean, and so were the hallways leading up to the bathrooms.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Olive Garden in Merrillville! It was my first visit, and I was truly impressed by the warm atmosphere and excellent service. LemLem was simply outstanding — professional, friendly, and very attentive. She made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her smile and positive attitude made our meal even more enjoyable. Because of her amazing service, I’ll definitely be coming back again.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Olive Garden. From the moment we were seated, the service was unacceptable.
We sat at our table for 20 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging us. My daughter finally had to get up and find a waitress to ask why no one had come to our table. The first waitress told us, “I’m sorry, I’m off my shift,” and even said she was wondering why they had seated us there. She then went to find someone else.
A woman who identified herself as a manager eventually came over. Not once did she apologize. She simply asked if she could get our drinks. After bringing the drinks, we waited another 10 minutes before a waitress finally showed up. When she did, she began taking our order through the kiosk — something we could have done ourselves if that was the expectation.
From there, the service only went downhill. My daughter eventually found another manager and explained how horrible the experience had been. Again, not one apology. The only explanation we received was, “Your waitress is new.” That is not an excuse for the complete lack of basic customer service — especially from management.
To make matters worse, our food arrived before our salad. For a $75 bill, we were treated like an inconvenience rather than paying customers.
This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Extremely disappointing.

Came here some time ago after being BSed by a nearby restaurant for a date. Atmosphere was delightful, the food was delicious, and our waitress was a ROCKSTAR. I do not recall her name, but she mentioned she worked her other job that morning and had been on her feet all day, as well as being a newer hire to this establishment. She was insanely attentive and informative, despite how busy I’m sure it had been that day. My date and I tipped her over 50% and she gave us both a HUGE hug as we left.

Excellent Olive Garden franchise. We came on a Monday for lunch and still had to wait 10-15 minutes—their business is doing great, very popular here. Our server was full of smiles and everything ran smoothly. She was perfectly accommodating. The bathroom was clean and our dishes came out at a good temperature. The dishes were high sodium but some of that is to be expected.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary at this location and I had the best night ever. Jocci was an amazing sever. He was so sweet, brought extra breadsticks when we were about to leave, and got us free desert for our anniversary. Jocci and Katie the manager made our night!

We were on our way back from Fort Wayne for my daughter’s gymnastics meet. We called when we were about an hour away and asked if they could accommodate a party of 13 (6 adults and 7 kids). I was told on the phone it would t be a problem and they would add me to a list. We arrived at the location 50 minutes after the phone call, we checked in and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. No problem, 30 minutes later and after about 20 (smaller parties between 2-5 people) other people came in a were seated I approached the desk and let the hostess know that we would be ok with splitting up our party, so we could be seated and get our girls some food. We were told they were just waiting on one table to leave, who had already paid and were just sitting talking. Another 15-20 minutes pass (we had now been there almost an hour), we approached the desk again and requested to split our party so we could just be seated. The hostess would not do it, I stated that I had called an hour prior to our arrival and was told that the size of our party would not be a problem. They wouldn’t even talk to us at this point just called a manager to the front. We weren’t being loud or angry, but just trying to get sat so our girls could eat. We ended up just walking out. Terrible customer service!

We had thee best dining experience for our anniversary here tonight.❤️ Each course of our meal was excellent. The portions were bountiful to say the least! Including the complimenary strawberry cream cake because our server Jana learned of our celebration . Jana was an absolute gem! So attentive, so kind and gave the “old friend” energy that we appreciated so much that we asked to speak to her manager Lisa about it. Lisa came to the table with the exact same energy filled with kindness and warmth . Despite being very busy, She chatted with us until we left with a very large bag of leftovers I might add. You can definitely feel the love from this place in these beautiful women with the sweetest of souls . HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! ( Ask for Jana- you’ll be well taken care of)
