The prices seems right, portions were big, and the entrees comes with free flow unlimited breadsticks and soup. Pasta was surprisingly good as well.
The atmosphere here was good and our server was very attentive.
Worth an experience when visiting USA.
Tonight we had the unfortunate experience of having Eva as our server. Dinner was served within an hour- adequate food albeit mediocre service. However, when we requested cake for the two birthday girls at our table, we expected timely desserts and singing- a valid expectation considering we had witnessed not one, not two, but FOUR other birthdays within the two hours since we had been seated.
To our displeasure and disappointment, the desserts took around 20 minutes to arrive and once served, Eva placed the plates down with no fanfare (not in front of either of the birthday girls, mind you), without even a mere candle, much less singing. Eva claimed “no one else was available” despite the fact we had witnessed another birthday celebration that the staff had conveniently been available for approximately five minutes prior to this.
It’s important to note that this occurred after the considerable tip we had paid was not to Eva’s liking, after which her (already mediocre) service drastically declined, leading to the event detailed above.
At this point, we decided Eva could keep her desserts and requested to speak to the manager. Of course, I will give credit where it is due- the manager, Matt, handled the situation well, profusely apologizing and even gifting us a $50 Olive Garden gift card.
This is all good and well, but the entire situation could have been avoided if we had better service to begin with. Overall, I think it is reasonable to expect a server not to alter their service depending on their tip.
