This restaurant is first-rate. We arrived 5 minutes before opening, and the dining room was spotless. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, even suggesting a couple of options on the menu. The salad bar was full of fresh foods, and the price of our meals was a good value for the amount of food. I would be remiss if I did not mention the complimentary bean bar (my husband’s favorite) or the free Bluebell ice cream (my fave) for dessert!

We stopped here on a day trip and it was very enjoyable. It was about 2 in the afternoon and the dining room was mostly full. I thought the food prices were a little high at first, but then I learned that each meal came with complementary “bean bar” that had beef vegetable soup, cornbread, and beans. I got a baked potato so I can’t really comment on the quality of the food, but service was quick and friendly. My kids really enjoyed the complementary ice cream, so you get a lot of bang for your buck. My favorite was the atmosphere. The place was full of cheerful, friendly, country folks and large happy families meeting for a birthday lunch. It reminded me of home and I just loved it!

Great home cooking with a fresh salad bar. Prices are reasonable. Dining area is clean. Personnel are friendly and professional. Owner is usually on site and welcoming. I’m making this a regular place to eat. I recommend it.

My daughter and granddaughter have Celiac. It is very difficult to eat out safely. The owner personally informed the waitress of our needs. He made sure the kitchen staff was aware of cross contamination. The waitress patiently answered all of our questions even through it was a busy lunch time. The food was prepared perfectly and my girls did not have any issues! We will definitely eat here again if we are in Canton.

Went about 2pm on a Monday afternoon. There were other patrons there but it wasn’t super busy. The staff were friendly and polite. It has a nice little home-town feel to it. The food was good, and the portions were accommodating for the prices. Our table ordered the chicken fried steak, the Hamburger steak, the chicken fingers, a stuffed baked potato, and a burger. Everything was great and we didn’t have to wait too long for our meals to arrive after placing our orders. The salad bar was nice and fresh. The pinto beans on their bean bar were good. I think it’s a place we’ll definitely enjoy again.
