If you are in the mood for good country cooking, the Ole Times Country Buffet is a good choice. If you leave hungry, you did it wrong. There is something for every palate and preference. As long as you don’t come looking for sushi or an ornate steak dinner, you’ll be happy you came. The prices are very fair, better for seniors, and the choices on the buffet are just huge! All the way down to their working ice cream machine, unlike the fast food folks. I easily recommend this place for a light meal, a heavy meal or anything in between. It’s all you can eat too. Hard to resist the second plate. Impossible to resist ice cream.

Im a truck driver that drives for JCPENNEY, I deliver all over the country i hardly ever get to eat great food on the road. Every time I deliver to the lake city JCPENNEY next door I always eat here. If I was rating it on the condition of the men’s room alone, it would be a one-star review. I’m pretty sure prison bathrooms are in better condition than theirs is.
Every time I come for dinner, I’m always keeping my fingers crossed there’ll be good barbecue on the buffet, and they’re never really is. There was some greasy sausage and way over done ribs.
I don’t know what to call their mac and cheese because it’s just lacking something…seasoning and definitely cheese.
Nothing really stood out. The highlight for me were the tomatoes on the salad bar…big, juicy, red beefsteaks sliced thick.
The cream corn is pretty good…but I liked the extremely salty fried fish over the fried chicken.

As we were looking for a restaurant like the Golden Corral that we had gone to in North Carolina (but there were none in the area we were travelling to to get to our Son and daughter in law’s home in Clearwater).
We stumbled upon: Ole Times Country Buffet.
The atmosphere was cool and the was a large selection of food. It wasn’t busy for the time we went in but it was clean and the food was plentiful.
We showed up at 5:57 pm on a Friday and it was not busy by any standards.
I enjoyed it due to the price. It was $10 American as I was charged as a senior. The girl at the cash was very friendly!

This was an interesting place to have dinner. Came across it while driving around. Read other reviews and thought to give it a try. The pork butt was great, along with the shrimp. Chicken was also great. If you picked the right steak, that was also good. Mostly overcooked. Overall, my family enjoyed their meal and the service was really great and friendly.

We had my dads celebration of life today in private dining room .All the staff was amazing food was hot and fresh. There was about 20 of us we never ran out of drinks or had dirty plates on our table more than 5 mins. Thank u and ur entire staff for all yall did today.

Everyone there was extremely rude. The “waitress” barely acknowledged us while we were there and did not lift a finger to help me when some water spilled on the table. She acted annoyed at our presence the entire time we were there. As we left she just glanced our way and said nothing even after I said “have a great rest of your day”. Very rude staff with overall lack of common courtesy and manners. It was not a welcoming environment. Furthermore, the food was atrocious. There was hardly any variety, and the chicken was rubbery. The utensils were sparse and dirty. Overall, if I could give this place 0 stars, I would.
