My mother & I went to Ole Time for Thanksgiving and I tell you they did an excellent job preparing the food! All the food was great and the vegetable did not have any pork in them and that made the food even better! We do not eat pork and you can actually enjoy the taste of the vegetable so much better without pork being in them! Thank you goes out to Statesboro Ole Time for doing such an outstanding job!

I’m not sure what happened with this place. I visited a few months ago; the service and the food was wonderful. But today? Not so much. The choices were limited and the offerings looked old. Even though, to give credit, they managed to keep the trays full when running low. It just seemed off and not what I remembered. At all. Really have to think about whether or not I will return.

The experience was horrible. We have never had such bad service and food tonight. We checked in at 5:24 went and fixed our plates came back to the table and our drinks were there, never saw the waitress until we were getting ready to leave after about 15 mins. The fish was hard and dry, no cheese for the salad!!! It was just horrible and they need to do better

They always have great food and selection. The servers always have a smile. I enjoy my visits. I love getting the fried okra, creamed corn, beans and cabbage. Fried chicken is excellent. Seafood on the weekends.

Unfortunately my husband loves old times Country buffet’s fatback just like the fatback Mom used to make on that cast iron skillet! it is quite delicious! I got to experience some great customer service today. There was no fatback on the buffet and I don’t live in Statesboro. It’s a drive. I only pick some up when I happen to be in Statesboro so I was disappointed. the manager came out and said “Ma’am We’ll fix them for you.” “That’s okay. ” I said. She said ” just come back in a couple hours.” I said “okay. I will Try.” I did go back. It wasn’t there. I said “okay when I walk across the parking lot and do so looking around and I’ll come back.” She said ” okay. It’ll be ready.” Well it still wasn’t ready but the manager explain the problem and I set down and drink a couple of water and I got the fat back fresh and hot! What a great manager! What great customer service! Thanks Old Times Country Buffet for reminding me how good Southern Hospitality is when found in a Local Business!

At Ole Times there is plenty of variety and a great salad bar. The tomatoes are probably their signature item because they taste absolutely home grown and wonderful. The rest of the food goes from ok to pretty bad. The fried chicken is fine, the red potatoes are good, lima beans good, maybe the fish is good. The shrimp is fast food quality. The seasoning on many of the vegetables is not quite right. The same goes for the desserts, although the blonde brownie is delicious. They also have soft serve ice cream. The front porch is nice in the fall and you can buy fresh tomatoes in the lobby. Those are great and might be worth a trip!

Although the food was good they used to have more vegetables. As a real turn off, the bathroom stinks and the smell goes into the dining room, it’s very gross.
