They remodeled the old library into a restaurant very well. Liked the garage doors, they were definitely needed cause the kitchen smoke. The staff was welcoming, and friendly. There was tvs everywhere with sports. Im going to definitely be here in March. The menu was huge! I went with a Rocket Burger and a side of bacon cheese fries. The burger was delicious (i was going to get grilled jalapeños to make it spicy but i hate cold jalapeños and wasnt going to risk it. My cousins burger had cold jalapeños). I made the right choice i guess. The bacon cheese fries were crispy and also good just a very small portion, I think I had maybe 14ish fries. Anyways i will return to try the rest of their menu especialy these wings I was told about. I do recommend.

Weekday 130pm. Not crowded. Plenty of open tables. The tavern feel could improve. Remove the cafeteria tables with hard metal stools. I know they’re nostalgic but I’m an adult paying good money. Would never sit there. Wait staff pleasant but under trained. Pretzel appetizer out fast and was delicious. I received my hamburger with potatoes chips. Hamburger bun subpar, cold and hard. crispy onions on burger were soggy. Entire bottom bun soggy. I still don’t know how because the hamburger itself was thin and dry. I ordered fries. They were not greasy but they were limp and cool to touch. Almost 5 minutes after I received my food the other dishes were out. Soup and salad! Granted the salad had chicken on it. But the chicken was store bought sliced rottesierre. The salad was iceberg with a sprinkle of shredded cheese a few kernels of corn, crunched up tortilla chips with the thinly sliced chicken on top. (Not worth the price). The tomato soup was good but could be progresso basil tomato. I know you’re new, in progress, spent a ton to get up and running, but do better. There are many places to eat out at. Make yourself the destination it can be. If u do pizzas well stick to it. Could be back in the future as we love to support locals.

Tonight Saturday 3/7/26, my wife and I were looking to try the fairly new Olde Library Tavern. Ordering drinks and an appetizer, we had no idea the nightmare that was about to unfold. As our main course, we ordered a half salad and the odyssey sub(sausage and meatballs) with the intention to share both. About 15 minutes after ordering, the salad was brought to the table. Another 30 minutes had gone by with the server saying the sub should be out any minute 4 separate times and the final time the waiter showing frustrations that we were still waiting on the food and confirmed the order was placed 48 minutes prior. A manager was asked to visit our table and she explained they had been backed up all day long and when asked why they had sat people beyond their capabilities, she stated the owner would not allow them to create a waitlist. She asked what the sub was supposed to be and stated she would go to the kitchen to check on it and make it herself if she had to. After an hour past placing the order, a sub arrived. The sub was cut down the middle and when trying to get everything contained within the bun after it was thrown together, the sausage was cool to the touch in the middle. After removing the sausage from the sub and cutting it open a flash light clearly showed the sausage was no where near to be cooked through. Though the bill was comped, this is something that no patron of any restaurant should have to deal with or have to inspect their meal for being cooked throughly. This “restaurant” needs to do better with their service by having a standard for themselves and also not serving people raw, uncooked foods. I will not be revisiting to look for any improvements they may make.

The Olde Library Tavern. Their food is excellent and their beer is cold!! A lot of their waiters are young, so the service is sporadic, and your orders usually arrive at different times for each individual in your group, but all of that should improve in time. Parking is out back and on the street also. I would highly recommend this place!

I spent a lot of hours as a child visiting this building when it was a library, so stepping back inside was a bit nostalgic. The atmosphere was great. It felt like a local gathering spot despite being relatively new.
The service was great. They were very busy, but our server server, Adriana?,was attentive and updated us frequently on the status of our order.
The food was really good. We started with roasted Brussel sprouts and they were excellent. I had a the Steakhouse Pie and it was great. My wife tried their pizza bread and loved it. Portions were generous.
They have several beers on tap, mostly your big brand standards. They did have Devil Anse from Greenbrier Valley Brewing and Country Boy Cougar Bait.

For opening week it was great. Wait time was slow but that to expect. Service was very good. Prices are great. Beer selection is good, have about 16 beers on draft. They also have a little arcade game room. I will come back again and do remember people visit this place!

Its still working on getting some kinks out on service and kitchen timing, but that is pretty normal for a new restraunt. The one dish we tried (burger) was well executed. Taps are decent, but hoping they’ll get a few more WV local/craft brews on rotation. The old fashioned came out a little sweet for my taste, but I’ve encountered that before (just depends on personal taste there). Overall, great addition to the neighborhood.

Had a great experience. Ordered the Golden Plot Twist (Little smaller than we thought but so good, Fisherman’s Folio, Tolstoy Farm Fold and 2 of us got the bacon cheese fries. We were all very happy and some of us had leftovers. Benleigh did a great job keeping our waters full and made sure we had everything we needed.
They just opened less then 5 weeks ago and still have a learning curve but off to a great start!

We just ran across this place as we were driving around. It is a really cool looking place. Tables of all sizes. Our server was a sweet girl who checked on us often even though the place was packed for lunch on a Saturday. We split a pizza and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Would be a great place to come watch some games, several TVs throughout the building. Would definitely go back if ever back in town.
