I had the sliders, delicious and spouce philly so great. Service was perfect. I dont agree with the auto 20% gratuity. I also thought for the price a small side could have been included. In need of updates/cleaning. Bill was 86$ for two brunch special drinks and 2 boody marys.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A First Visit That Truly Impressed
I stopped by Old Whitten Tavern in Bartlett for the very first time, and I’m honestly blown away by how great my experience was. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt clean, welcoming, and comfortable — the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy your meal without a worry.
My waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in at all the right moments without hovering. That level of customer care really stood out and made the visit feel personal.
The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor — exactly what you hope for on a first visit to a new spot. Everything tasted like it was prepared with intention, not rushed or thrown together.
Between the friendly service, the clean environment, and the quality of the food, Old Whitten Tavern made an amazing first impression. I’ll definitely be back. They earned a new loyal customer today.

First time here and the service was great from our waitress Morgan and the owner. My mom and I appreciated it ! However, the food was a 3.9. I had the OWT breakfast and my mom had the chop steak; it was decent, but not hot to the table. I would probably recommend the Pork Chop platter to try. It might be better.

Service was great and food was delicious! My husband and I are foodies and most places we eat out are not as good as his cooking, mainly because they lack seasoning/flavor. Everything we tasted here was very well seasoned and absolutely scrumptious! Highly recommend for anyone passing through Memphis, TN.
The donut bites were the best homemade donuts and dipping icing I’ve had. We ordered half cinnamon, half powdered sugar. Both were equally yummy. The country fried chicken with the Country Breakfast was very well seasoned – surprisingly flavorful with the white gravy topping it. The Bonnie Melt burger patty was also well seasoned, but the side of macaroni and cheese I ordered was spectacular! Based off appearance it was extra cheesy with a hint of pepper. On tasting it, it was more peppery than appearances let on, but it was perfect!
Only picture we got was of the donut bites (after we had already eaten some… ).
Prices were reasonable. We ordered 3 meals and with the automatic 20% gratuity it was $54.

It was my first time. I ordered an omelette and it was delicious. My guest ordered the fried chicken breast breakfast. Everything was good. Also left with a veggie plate to go . I will be returning.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. The food was amazing. It came to us in a short time, hot and fresh. There was a live singer, which was a bonus. the atmosphere was very inviting and clean. We will definently be returning.

What a great little hole in the wall. Was lucky enough to catch their open mic on Wed night and heard some really good music hosted by local artists, Bob n Susie Salley. Add to that top notch service and a comfortable friendly atmosphere. The best part though was the food. Started with the pretzels (warm and soft), then ordered the grilled chicken entree and my companion got the pork chops (wish I’d gotten better pictures but it was so good, pix got forgotten for a minute). Everything came out quickly and was delicious. Kudos to the staff for a very pleasant evening. We will be back.

Seriously my favorite place in the Memphis area to go out with friends. Erin is incredible! The food, drinks and overall atmosphere are top-tier. We drive all the way from downtown at least once a month just to make sure we get some OWT and Erin time with friends!

My husband and I have visited this restaurant on at least 3 occasions. The service and the atmosphere had always been good. Today, we stopped by to grab some lunch but that all changed when my husband went to the bar to order our food. The bartender proceeds to tell my husband that she has “ a bone to pick with him” because a FEW months ago he came in with a little girl and ordered his food, walked out, and didn’t pay. Fun fact, my husband and I don’t have kids, and have never walked out of any restaurant without paying. What was most concerning and disheartening is that she made this statement in front of others customers, causing embarrassment and humiliation, didn’t have any proof, and proceeded to excuse her behavior with an insincere apology and smug smirk on her face. She then went on to tell the manager who offered yet another insincere apology and vouched for her character by saying she has worked with him for over 30 years. He wasn’t interested in hearing what we had to say or trying to resolve this situation in a way that showed that her behavior and accusations were inappropriate or out of line. He sided with her and became increasingly frustrated the more I expressed my concerns. My advice to anyone visiting this establishment is to make sure you keep all your receipts from when you visit or don’t visit at all, as I think they only favor and like to provide service to a certain demographic and race of people.

Was a bit of a wait, but worth it. The pancakes were pretty good, lots of fresh blueberries, the shrimp and grits was different, never had fried shrimp in mine before. Tasted pretty good. The pineapple mimosa was awsome, had me a little tipsy, but I did drink it on an empty stomach. Service was great, nice atmosphere, prices reasonable.
