The Chop House burger, the Clubhouse Sammie, and the Reuben were so delicious. The tables were sticky. The restroom was clean and the waitress was good. The building exterior has some amazing architecture. Worth the stop. I will return if possible.

This was one of the worst experiences. I waited for over an hour for the food to come out. The stake was overcooked, and I never received the bake potato. Then the manager said she would discount the bill she couldn’t even add instead of discount she added extra to my bill. So if you by chance stop at the (Chop) good luck and dubble, check your bill.

Drove from Richlands Va to Tazwell and dined at the Old Va Chophouse. When you enter the restaurant the atmosphere is warm and reminds me of a lodge. They also have a full bar. My friend and I had a steak sandwich and a cocktail which was excellent but that’s because it was late lunch. They also have a great variety of dinners including steaks and seafood. If your visiting Tazwell Va this is a great place to go. Great meal, friendly staff, and a meal at a great price. I will definitely return

Tragic is the word I would describe for our experience. Every single entree was bad. The two steaks were soooo over cooked it was laughable for a chop house. The croissant for the sandwich was so hard a knife could barely cut through it. The chips were somehow crunchy and chewy at the same time and so cold they seemed old. The salmon was over cooked but at least edible compared to the rice it was on top of which was insanely salty it was inedible. my waitress took my glass to refill my drink instead of brining a pitcher or a new cup- this has issues for cleanliness because she brought my cup back to a different table (the only other table in the place mind you) and once she realized minutes later brought it to my table. That’s when we realized the lipstick on the cup, which I wasn’t wearing. I never saw the lady at the other table touch that cup so either I was brought a dirty cup the second time or it was dirty from the beginning. Unacceptable. Lastly the entire kitchen crew and wait staff were at the bar together, watching football, chatting, on their phones and best of all taking shots on the job in front of customers. It was baffling.

Its a great place to eat a good sandwich. The rueban was really meaty and cooked perfect. The crab cake actually had lumps of crab. I was totally impressed. The waitresses and chef were friendly and the place was decorated perfect for the area. Definitely worth the ride..

The food looked great. The restaurant was clean and looked nice. Our waitress was super nice. I wish I could say the food tasted good unfortunately the all meat hibachi I ordered was much too salty to eat and my husband’s steak although it looked delicious and seemed to be cooked perfectly, it had no seasoning whatsoever on it. The restaurant was so nice that we’ll give them another chance though. Maybe if we order something else on a different day it’ll turn out better.

Went here to eat on Sunday reviews look great. I ordered a Reuben sandwich. It had one piece of meat on it that I couldn’t even identify what the meat was. I ended up using one slice of bread cutting it in half and having a half a sandwich for $13, it surely wasn’t any pastrami I had tasted. I usually don’t write reviews but it’s been a day since I’ve been there and I’m still very very mad that they charge me for a piece of meat. The sandwich didn’t even have thousand island dressing on it I had to ask for it was like leather. I’d stick to the burgers. I just feel like I got ripped off. Enjoyed our server very hospitable, but I wouldn’t recommend the Ruben.
