Two private chefs/estate managers just passing through Mid Atlantic States on our way to Savannah and we happened upon this place that just happened to be a 1 minute walk from our Airbnb. Literally they only had ONE review!
Server, Allison, admittedly new and green but so eager to serve she was a delight in addition to be amazing at the details. Tip her well her car needs work.
Southwestern chicken salad was fantastic with blue cheese dressing. I had the shaved turkey instead of the corned beef to be healthier and it was fantastic with the slaw they top it with. Wife had the soft shell crab sandwich, another hit!
Recommend totally! We will be hitting the coffee bar they have in the morning on the way out of town in the AM will drop that review shortly.
Thanks again for a great meal in a small town!! We wish you the best!

What a gem is little old Trappe, Maryland! This place was a hop from our airbnb so we walked and at first we were in the coffee shoppe then go further and there was the restaurant. Alison helped us and we had a great seat by the window. Alison was “green” as we call it in the industry but you couldnt tell one bit! The executive chef used to run a restaurant in St. Michael’s so I had to get the soft shell crab sandwich and as per Alison’s instructions to get the onion rings with that super good dipping sauce it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The seasoning of the batter was light but flavorful and the bun was perfectly toasted and soft! We were amazed being in such a small town that a place like this existed but it does and I’m here to tell you to go here, because your life literally depends on it! We went to the coffee shoppe the next am and got their lavender blueberry scones and snickerdoodle cookies and anywhere else, this place would be $10 for a coffee and $10 for a pastry, they are that good! Be sure to say hi to Alison, she’s super awesome and her energetic personality keeps you smiling! ❤️

Have been twice now. Once for brunch and the other for dinner. Both meals were great!

Casual spot for a bite in Trappe. The food can be quite good. Breakfasts are also worthwhile.

Food was enjoyable, atmosphere was hectic due to garden tour in area. Will try again.
