I woke up thinking about this food today after going there yesterday. This spot is so great. Expect a possible wait. It’s tiny in there but worth it. The food and service was amazing. The girlies in there are so sweet and take good care of you. I’m definitely going back

Definitely a great place to stop for breakfast. Such a great atmosphere and our waitress was amazing. The food was great and we will definitely be back. I had the carnivor omelet with home fries and a side of gravy, and my wife got pancakes with a side of back. I highly recommend this restaurant and it’s in a neat part of Petersburg.

Excellent food and great service! I stopped in for breakfast and the omelette with home fries was outstanding—probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Other diners were raving about the pancakes and French toast, which looked just as delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The restaurant has that warm, welcoming small-town vibe that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

When I tell you… go and eat here!!! You just go!! Now the hesitation is it’s a small restaurant, but who CARES!! The staff is great and friendly the chef even spoke to my husband about the sandwich! ORDER THE fries they are better than McDonalds and I’m not lying. And that chicken and waffles… LORD HAVE MERCY!! 10/10 I will recommend.

My sons and I were from out of town visiting and looking for a good spot to get breakfast. We came in the location, very small and was greeted as if we shouldn’t have been there. Our table was wiped with an overly saturated towel. I wiped the excess water with a napkin. We were given menus and immediately asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for time to look at the menu. 5 minutes later the waiter stated they were not serving breakfast. The menu said breakfast all day. We left. We went next door to Comeback Burger and the service was amazing!

Wow!! This tiny restaurant was rocking! We had to wait 15 minutes but it was worth it. It was full and there was a wait list, not much room to wait, but it was tight! After seeing other customers choices my husband and I decided on the Reuben with onion rings. We split it because it is huge. So deliciously piled high with meat on marble rye. The rings are perfectly battered and fried. Everyone was so friendly and we loved Ashley our server. Most definitely a great choice.

With its diner-reminiscent atmosphere, this was the perfect spot for a quick, but delicious and filling breakfast! The staff were friendly and eager to wait on you, and the owner even took a break from cooking to come out and greet the patrons. The Vegetarian Omelette w/ Grits was prepared perfectly! And, there was a fruit cake with a vanilla icing that I had to grab to go; it’s a must-try!

Loved the food! The portions are large and the prices are fair. It’s a bit tight inside with limited seating, but the cozy diner feel adds to the charm.
When we went two weeks ago, we got the last available table. Unfortunately, a food truck was delivering at the same time, and we were seated in the back right where everything was being unloaded. The driver came through the front door and hand-carted everything through the middle of the restaurant, which made things a little cramped while we were eating. At one point, staff had to pass our table with large boxes within a foot of my wife’s head.
That said, the waiting staff was great—friendly, attentive, kept our coffee full, and even apologized for the inconvenience.
Overall, we still love the diner atmosphere and plan to go back again this weekend. I’d definitely recommend The Perk to friends and family!

Super family friendly restaurant. Breakfast is really good! I had the biscuits and gravy.
I’ve also had the turkey melt & the buffalo sand which.
All were amazing! The chicken has a really good crisp to it and the perfect amount of sauce.
If you’re a sauce lover try all their homemade sauces!
The chips and fries are also cut in house.
The family is super bubbly and friendly! Always willing to work with you any answer any questions or concerns.
