The food was amazing here!! To start, the chips and salsa were fantastic! The salsa was almost my favorite part of the meal. Then, we ordered two virgin strawberry daiquiris, which were delicious. They came with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry on top, as well as whipped cream.

I got the Minero plate! Absolutely amazing. We literally went at the perfect time in the morning. Everyone was helping us, everything came in a timely manner, and the food was an explosion of flavors. I highly recommend this for a great experience. Attached should be photos of the menu as well as my plate!

This could be my favorite Mexican restaurant in all of California. I love their tacos where they put ground beef in and then toothpicks and then deep fry them to make them crispy. Their enchilada sauce is the most authentic. I’ve tasted in the states. The Mezcal margarita was fantastic and ask for their special habanero sauce for the chips, great habanero, flavor, and hot, but not too hot.

The weather was perfect, and the outside seating offered a great view of the historic Whaley House and passerbys on the sidewalk. Our waiter was very friendly, and the overall vibe was fun. The food wasn’t my favorite, but it could have just been what we ordered.

A quick walk from the hotel got us to Old Town Mexican cafe and it definitely was worth the walk in a bit of hot sun out here in San Diego.

This place is a gem! Took an Uber from downtown San Diego to try this place out – definitely worth the ~10 minute ride excellent selection of Mexican food, we had street tacos. The menu is vast and every item looked very good, so we had a rough time deciding. Staff is friendly and we got excellent service. Wait time was ~15 minutes on a Tuesday evening without reservations
