It was ok but not quite what I expected. The menu said half chicken, I received a breast and wing (1/4) chicken. It was kind of bland so I asked for sauce. They only had two to chose from. The chicken seemed like it was re heated and not made to order. It did have a nice smoky flavor, but I wasn’t convinced that it was from actually smoking, it was more like smoke flavoring. The young woman who served me was extremely polite and mannerful and super cute. I ordered a cookie after my meal and the cookie was amazing. One of the best cookies I’ve ever ate.

The food is awesome not to mention the staff is always friendly! It is a small local business so be patient! It’s not a huge chain! Portions of the food are huge and will definitely fill you up! They’re always trying to improve! I have never had a bad meal here! If you haven’t tried Old Town Cafe and want some awesome BBQ give it a try!! I’ve been here many times (atleast once a week) and I’ve found the pork barbecue sandwich is by far the best pork BBQ I’ve had in Maryland! Also all their sides are actually home made and all of their meat they smoke in house!! You can’t get quality like that these days!! They also make a killer steak and cheese!! Make sure to tip the girls there they deserve it!!

Food was wonderful. Generous portions of pulled pork. Hush puppies were home made and outstanding. The cajun rice had good spice. One big surprise was the steak sandwich. It was incredible. Over all a stellar experience.

Sandwiches were large and pretty tasty. The pulled chicken BBQ wasn’t dry and the pork BBQ was cooked well too. Both needed more sauce, but that was easily obtained. The mac & cheese was peppery and pretty tasty, but the hush puppies were a bit of a disappointment. They were over-done on the outside, but mushy on the inside, and they were too sweet for my taste.

Between 4 of us, we ordered several kinds of BBQ and sides. All of it was delicious, except the pasta salad which was just ok. The BBQ beef sandwich and fried pickles were really excellent. Large portions for a good price, friendly service.

This was my first visit and I will be back! Great value as well as great tasting pulled pork Barbecue sandwiches and coleslaw. Very generous servings. Only thing missing is the banana pudding with vanilla wafers!

In my search for some good BBQ in Southern Maryland, this deserves a place near the top. It’s a really tiny looking building, with only about 4 tables and just enough room to get and sit down at them. The menu is pretty large, but I came for a pulled pork bbq sandwich so that’s what I ordered. The sandwich was surprisingly large with lots of bbq, and topped with coleslaw and a little sauce. The sandwich tasted great, though it could have used more sauce, and the slaw paired with it perfectly.

I think all of these five star reviews are coming from people who have never had good BBQ. The North Carolina pulled pork sandwich was dry with no flavor. The Mac and cheese was cold and clumpy. The BBQ baked beans were burned and a sad excuse for BBQ. Maybe coming from Memphis I’m a bit spoiled to the best of the best BBQ but this place is a waste of time. Please keep driving til you find a Mission BBQ.
