There is something indescribable about a place where you can get southern home cooking by the pound. On the weekend one can eat in buffet style, or get to go boxes. The place is always packed with people in their Sunday clothes drinking sweet tea and eating chicken and dumplings, banana pudding and the best creamed corn. Also, the number of people taking Styrofoam cups full of lima beans home never ceases to amaze me. This place is not fancy at all and the floor is worn down in places from all of the feet going through, but the food is pure comfort.

Cleanest tasting Southern food. No salty taste, just the taste of the great food. The owner is never too busy to say hello. However, I hope they can hold prices down. It’s now $20, not horrible but a 50% increase since $13 a few years back.
I think most people, like myself, visit occasionally, mitigating the pain by spreading it out over long periods of absence.

I’m there almost every Sunday afternoon for there chicken and dumplins, mac and cheese, fried chicken and pulled pork also the spaghetti……and yes all that is on one platter at times they also have good beef stew and rice….Don’t judge me people …lol ! It is worth your while and they have a good Arnold palmer too…..see you there
