A very beautiful restaurant with awesome staff! They were busy but still very attentive to every customer. If you have seafood allergies, are vegetarian etc, make sure to ask about ingredients in every meal. I didn’t expect pieces of bacon in a tomato soup for example. All food we was great, their bread sticks are also yummy. We enjoyed the baked Brie with fruit, cheese ravioli and cordon Bleu.

The food was delicious I got the Chicken Marsala with veggies and a tossed salad. My man got linguine with spinach and other vegetables tossed salad. They gave you breadsticks before your food came. Our waitress was very nice.

An outstanding lunch stop today. I don’t lightly maximize ratings but, this place set the bar higher than expected. Along with the great food was an equally great service experience. Food – Shrimp Bianca, prime rib open-faced sandwich with mushroom, roasted potatoes, chocolate silk pie
The next day when passing back through travelling home – Shrimp Bianca (an easy favorite) , Peppercorn Steak Sandwich and Roasted Potatoes.

Walking into Old Richmond Inn is an elegant step back in time and a feeling of coziness. The service staff are wonderful. I had dinner while the banquet hall was full, and you would have never known with the promptness of delivery from the kitchen.
I tried the New Zeeland Mussels, steamed with drawn butter. The flavor was great, but they were over-cooked.
I also had the Seafood & Pasta Salad and was pleasantly surprised when I found a couple of large pieces REAL CRAB!
Overall, it was a great experience, and when in Richmond, I’ll be back.

Or group of 11 from work cane for lunch. Everything was excellent and we were treated excellent. We wanted for nothing and didn’t have to wait for refills or anything. Thank you very much!

Waitress from the start, was probably one of the worst I’ve ever had! Valentine day which is my anniversary as well. Was looking forward to prime rib and baked potato . My son as well was looking forward for the same! Never heard of a restaurant changing the menu for Valentine’s Day. So I changed for something different. A filet and shrimp &fries. Ordered plain bread sticks to come out my meal. That irritated the waitress! Meal comes out . No fries or bread sticks. Filet was ordered medium rare, came out done. Fries were seasoned something I don’t care for. Brought out second filet! No seasoning just bla! At this point I didn’t complain. If you can’t get all your food at one time, it doesn’t Make a fine experience! Waitress didn’t like her tip! Slammed the booklet shut. Not a thank you ! Rude individual. Needs an anger management class. I normally tip 20-30% ! Tips are earned! You don’t dictate your worth. I should’ve gave her nothing. If this would have been my first time at this restaurant I definitely would not go back. Last time I was there there had a great waitress. Prime rib was great with a baked potato. Fact, I’ll never go back on Valentines day. If I go back. ! Makes more sense to skip the fries and have a baked potato! Duh!!

A Hidden Gem with Timeless Elegance — The Old Richmond Inn
Dining at The Old Richmond Inn in Richmond, Indiana, was nothing short of exceptional. This place strikes a perfect balance between upscale fine dining and a warm, laid-back atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Upon arrival, the service was a bit slow—but it seemed to coincide with a shift change, and once things got rolling, the staff was attentive and welcoming. Our hostess, Amy, went above and beyond by offering us a gracious tour of the historic property. I won’t spoil the details, but I highly encourage you to look up the building’s rich backstory. With over seven uniquely styled dining rooms and a banquet hall, the charm and character of this place are truly unmatched.
As for the food—simply five-star across the board. Every dish was crafted with care, bursting with flavor and elegance. But the highlight for me? Dessert. I couldn’t choose just one, so I indulged in three. And honestly, if you asked me which to recommend, I still couldn’t decide. Just do yourself a favor—get them all. You won’t regret it.
This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be back.

What an outstanding lunch stop! The food and service were equally great, and the experience set the bar higher than expected. We loved it so much we stopped back through the next day! The Shrimp Bianca is an easy favorite (we ordered it twice!). Other hits included the prime rib open-faced sandwich, the Peppercorn Steak Sandwich, and the amazing chocolate silk pie.

Food was average. I had the raved about beef stroganoff. It was flavorful yet over salted, and for me that says a lot as I salt everything. Glad I tasted first. The beef (filet mignon) was flavorful and tender. The fettuccine noodles were tasty yet more EVOO should have been used to keep them loose. Wife had the chicken piccante and stated it was also saltier than it should be, lacked capers (very few), and did not have the typical piccante lemony flavor which she wanted. Also the chicken was tough. She had a baked potato and the squash medley vegetables. The veggies were good and the potato had no butter. Thankfully we still had the butter cubes that came with the delightful bread sticks they brought out. We both had tossed salads with the home Meade Italian dressing. The salad was the highlight of the meal frankly, although I gave the uncooked shrooms (blech) to the wife. Service was decent although quite hectic as if someone didn’t show up to work on a Sunday evening. We wanted to sit at the bar and relax after an 8 hour drive, but alas no bartender so the bar sat empty. Overall, it was okay. We’ll try a different establishment on our next trip from Virginia to Wisconsin.

Had the chance to check out the Old Richmond Inn in Richmond, IN, and it did not disappoint! This charming town has a unique vibe with a delightful small-town feel.
When I first arrived, I was convinced the place used to be a funeral home. Turns out, it was a former wallpaper business—go figure! The decor still gave off those old-timey vibes with its cozy rooms and fine dining setup.
The presentation was on point, and the food was even better. Each plate at our table looked uniquely delicious. Who knew you’d find so much flavor in this little town?
After learning the place was rumored to be haunted, I skipped dessert and embarked on a self-guided paranormal tour. I discovered an urn clock, hidden rooms, dark areas, and plenty of spooky vibes.
Five stars—I’ll definitely be back!
