All around pretty good place. Very “Old Montgomery” – super local, filled with John Wayne posters and quotes. Simple interior, a little rustic and not too much invested, but the food can be surprisingly good. Not so much the onion rings, but anything done on their wood-fired grill is especially good – chopped brisket, chicken quesadillas, etc.

Food was amazing and service was great. Ordered the Tuesday Special which was 6 large shrimp and 2 sides. Also 1/2 order of fried pickles. And the spicy chicken sandwich. The shrimp were huge and the chicken patty was sticking out 3″ on each side. Everything came out hot and tasty and the portion sizes were good, especially for the price. We will definitely eat there every time we’re in that area. Just too bad they’re not open for dinner.

Kept reading reviews about the breakfast taco and how good it was. Did not dissapoint. That taco was delicious. We also had chicken fried steak. This was a little less desirable. It was good and very tender. I could cut it with my fork. Only complaint is it lacked flavor. Kind of bland IMO. Wait staff was very courteous. We will go back someday when we are in town.

It’s been a while since we last had eaten here. I had the beef tips and rice. The gravy had had onion flavor but not overwhelming, and the beef I could cut it with my fork. Very good. We will be back soon.

The service here is great! Our waitress was attentive and made sure we were taken care of during our dinner. The onions rings and ranch are definitely worth trying- soo delicious! The chicken fried steak is good, however the gravy is a bit watered down. The steak I had as extremely tough, but had such a good flavor that I ate it anyway.

We liked the vibe of the place and the waitress was super, joked with us and treated us like family. The food was not good at all. We got steak tips, it was more gravy than steak was a weird consistency and no flavor. We also got two different cobblers, we didn’t like those either, cheap canned fruit with way to much sugar.

Service adequate, menu had plenty of variety, my husband’s chicken fried chicken was good, my chicken fried steak was very tough & chewy. Cornbread was over cooked and dry, my green beans had some stems left in them. Come on.

The food was great and the service was top notch. Considering we went to brunch on a Saturday and they were busy we still got good service and hot food. Atmosphere was of old time cafe so you felt at home. Will definitely be going back again.
