I don’t normally leave reviews, but I feel like this experience needs to be shared.
My husband, child, and I decided to have lunch at Old Mexico this weekend after not visiting for a couple of years. Unfortunately, it was a big mistake.
We started by ordering cheese dip. When it arrived at the table, there were already broken off chips sitting in the dip. We immediately tried to get the waitress’s attention to let her know. She started walking toward our table, then turned around to help another table and never came back.
When our meals arrived, we realized we still didn’t have silverware. We sat there for another 15 minutes while staff repeatedly walked past our table, made eye contact with us, and continued on without acknowledging us. Eventually, someone brought silverware, and we mentioned the issue with the cheese dip. The only response we received was, “Ok,” before she walked away.
This restaurant has been a staple in our small town for a very long time, which makes this experience even more disappointing. We have always appreciated having it as part of our community, so it’s truly sad to see the quality of service decline the way it has. Overall, the lack of attention and concern made the experience frustrating for our family, and we expected much better.

First things first, the salsa was excellent. Enough spice/heat to get your attention, but not so much as to keep you from enjoying it. I’ve never liked a salsa that was just a tomato sauce with a little onion in it, and Old Mexico did not disappoint.
The food took a few minutes to come out, which is a good thing. If you want food that’s sitting under a heat lamp and waiting on you to get there, then go to McDonald’s. I don’t mind waiting a little if it means my food is prepared fresh. Both of our meals were hot through and through and seemed prepared fresh. That’s what I want from a restaurant.

Old Mexico is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Moultrie! The food is always the best and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! My girls and I love to have our mommy daughter dates here!

The chips and salsa came out hot and tasted fresh. It lacked much atmosphere and the wait staff didn’t really seem interested in the customers. Our food came out hot and pretty quick, it tasted good, and they even had vegetarian options. Overall 3/5, not much atmosphere and not the best staff, but pretty good food all around.

Foods pretty good, good sized servings and not too expensive. Was there at lunch with my wife and it took longer than I expected. One server was talking loudly almost the whole time we were there that detracted from our visit. Just loud as if the customers were not there. Only a few customers were there at 11:30.
