i don’t really like BBQ all that much. I REALLY enjoyed having dinner here. The food is excellent. Their house margaritas are “interesting” (OJ instead of lime – they’re deceptively non-alcoholic tasting – really yummy). Staff is VERY eager to make sure you have a good time there.

This good sized restaurant is tucked into Porter Plaza, at the northern edge of Pittsfield and well worth the trip. This is the best barbecue I’ve had in years. I’ve had barbecue from across the U.S. and at some of the hubs like TX and Kansas City. It’s certainly the best I’ve had in the Berkshires so far, admittedly I haven’t been to all of them yet.

Hello ya’ll, my experience at old man Jeff’s BBQ was pleasant. Once I walked in it was a little busy but I was acknowledged by staff fairly quick. While waiting for the breakdown on what to do, it gave me a chance to look around. The decor of the restaurant is like this 80s through ’90s vibe with a number of funny “road signs”.

The smell of BBQ before you even enter the restaurant was wonderful! Everything was delicious. I haven’t had good BBQ like this since I was in Florida. The staff was great! They welcomed us immediately and explained that they bring our food to us but to please place orders at the register. The waitress let us know that there was sweet tea by the front door that we could help ourselves to(see photo). We shared the Sample Platter among 3 of us. The baked beans were the best I have ever had with big chunks of pork. My favorite was the pulled pork with their BBQ sauce. My 12 year old loved the ribs.

My husband and I love this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food is so delicious. We have been here several times, and they have not disappointed us yet. They really go above and beyond to make sure their patrons are happy and satisfied. One of our favorites is the three bone tray. The ribs are always so meaty and flavorful.. and the brisket is tender and warm and just melts on your mouth! The honey maple wings.. This sauce is so sweet but tangy with just a tiny kick.. the flavors are so good together. It is addictive.. we just can’t get enough of their food. The sodes are wonderful, too .. creamy mac n cheese and warm soft moist cornbread… Try it out.. you will be glad you did .

Outstanding! We got the Judges platter and everything on there was delicious. We also ordered up some buffalo wings and they were great as well. This definitely reminded me of some of the BBQ that I’ve enjoyed down south. The BBQ sauce is tasty. Not overly vinegary or sweet. Just the right amount of balance. Highly recommend!

Wooow! We came during a rush and the staff handled it with Grace under fire. The food was amazing, and a great value for the price. Totally worth a little chaos with the counter service they offer. The drinks were yummy and ample. The fries are the best in the berks. I am still in awe at the portions and can’t get over the deliciousness. It’s clear that in the few months they’ve been open, they’ve created a loyal following – we will be joining that club. – Family of four with young kids.
