This is a great place to grab a beer, play a round of pool, listen to some music and enjoy a sunset with friends. Its rustic charm is spot on and very much a departure from the corporate restaurant scene. Beer selection is adequate and the glasses are frosty cold. I just happened by and spotted this place.. had to check it out.. so should you.

Stopped in to have oysters and drinks at what looked like a cool spot. We have a service dog so was immediately told we couldn’t go on the main deck but had to go to the “poopdeck”. So we did but had no service out there. We left and went across the street to Caribbean Bay Bar. Dog welcomed, service great, music fantastic! Also was told by Tanners that our dog was welcomed in restaurant and deck. How does their insurance allow but not Old Man Franks? I understand your policy but don’t treat customers like they are second rate citizens because they have a service dog,
It does look like a fun place if you do not have a dog.

This is a great place for what it is. We had low expectations but liked idea of relaxing with a bear on the lake. I is a dive, with the charming atmosphere of a dive bar with bar food. The beer is ultra cold, the cheeseburgers were decent, the cole slaw and potato salad was delicious and the service was good. We are here on a Tuesday at 1:30, not crowded, sat on the open deck. It was a gorgeous day with several boaters on the lake. Had an enjoyable time. If you want gourmet food this isnt it.

We stopped for a late lunch after kayaking on a Sunday afternoon. Walked in, got a table 4:10pm. Got our drinks pretty promptly. Had to be somewhere at 5:15. Ordered our food and waited. And waited. And waited. Our server came by multiple times to check/refill drinks. She kept telling us it was the kitchen. They were backed up. She was very nice. By 5:15 we still hadn’t received our food, we believe the order was never put in. We asked her to just cancel our order if our food was not started. She came back and told us our order had been canceled. Got our check to pay for our drinks. In our opinion, our 2 drinks and a pop should have been comped, but we had to pay for them totally wasting our time. We left about 5:45 very hungry and dissatisfied.
On top of it all, the place was very dirty. Cobwebs on ceiling, and ripped down Christmas tinsel just stuck on the mails.

We liked the on the lake atmosphere and the option to have inside or outside dining. Menu was alittle lac luster but the tacos and tots we ordered were very good. Service from the ladies was spot on and we were well taken care of. For sure a place to check out!!

This was my first time there. It was my niece’s birthday and this is were she wanted to go. My sister came along also to celebrate with her daughter. She & I had the peel & eat shrimp. I was pleasantly surprised to see how big the shrimp were! The fries were delicious. I don’t know what they season them with, but they were awesome! There was live music the day we went. It was a little breezy on the outside seating on the water. I really enjoyed myself. I don’t usually eat out much, but I can honestly say, Old Man Franks will be placed on my eat out list.

4th time here. Worst experience yet. Waited 30 minutes never even got a waitress. Wasn’t really busy.
Not a fan of cigarettes either. Last few times I got decent drinks and poor food. This time I got neither. Need a hostess and a manager. Great lake views.

Waited 30 min to get waitress then after we ordered it took at least 45 min to get 1 out of 4 people ‘s food. Took another 15 min to get the other 3 food only partially. Took another 15 min just to pay. Hamburgers weren’t even cooked- very grizzled meat. Will never come back!

Food was decent across the board. My son ordered a pizza, tried the crayfish and ate an additional order along with the first, and took the pizza home. I was told oysters were a special which ended up not being true after we had already ate a few out of the two dozen we ordered…$$ waitress was decent and gave me another draft(OTH) and at the end also through me a bit extra. We sat out back and had the whole dock to ourselves which was fantastic, time of year would be subjective. OYSTERS tasted like the ocean which is why I came here. Will return again.
