Don’t miss this place!
Came for an early dinner and drinks on a Friday. We had the French onion soup, the Fancy Pants burger w/truffle fries, and the fish & chips. The soup was great- infused with herbs and a nice beef flavor. The portions were very generous – neither of us could finish our meals. The Fancy Pants burger was everything beef and mushroom- fantastic flavor! The truffle fries were spectacular (if you want them crispy, make sure to specify this.) The fish & chips were good but the hush puppies (more like corn fritters) were outstanding.
They make their Old Fashioned with Eagle Rare – stellar! There was a special S’mores Old Fashioned smoked with cinnamon chips – this was so incredible that we ordered three of them! They have a great Bourbon selection with some of the best prices we have seen in Louisville!
Lexi was a great server and Dan (one of the owners) was incredibly welcoming. Don’t pay the meters- it’s a pretty safe bet (no guarantees) that they aren’t checked. This is not a tourist place- it’s a great neighborhood place. We LOVED our time here. Walk off your meal in the neighborhood- there are some spectacular old houses in the surrounding blocks. Whatever you do, don’t miss coming here – you can thank me later!

Fun place in fabulous Victorian neighborhood. Indoor/outdoor dining. Quick service. Beers and mixed drinks. I had fried cod dinner. The cod was delicious and crunchy like I like it. Fries were above the norm. The hushpuppies were the best I’ve ever had. Sister got a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it She remarked she was going to hide the 1/2 she was taking home from her husband. My friend really liked her crab cakes. It was amazing how fast they had our food ready for us.

This is a great restaurant! Awesome interior design and layout! They have really good food! The Buffalo chicken sandwich and French fries were very good! This was the first restaurant we went to on this trip. The service could have been better, it was a bit slow. The slow service would absolutely not stop me from coming back here again though. I highly recommend this restaraunt to anyone visiting the area, or to anyone in the area!

The food was AMAZING! the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. It was clean and neat. The service was amazing! One person had us sit where we liked she got busy and another person took our drink order. The first girl came back for our food order,a different person brought it out. Even the busser checked on us and asked if we needed plates removed or boxes. The 2nd girl came to check on us,3rd lady got us refills and 1rst lady gave us our check. The whole place functioned like clockwork! Everyone worked together,the team work and efficiency was awesome!! The food was delicious!! You have to try the truffle parm fries!!! Im pretty sure I died! They were so good. The grilled cheese was not just an ordinary grilled cheese. It was absolutely beautiful with 2 kinds of cheese,double stacked with a buttered toasted bread, tomatoes and onions.. will 1000000000% visit again.

We are in town for a festival that starts tomorrow so I did a Google search for a good place to eat tonight. This place came up and I’m very happy we chose to check it out. I had the fish n chips and it was very good! The fish wasn’t greasy or soggy. The fries were crisp and delicious. The hushpuppies were delicious! I also had a delicious Old Fashioned. My husband got the quesadilla. Thats kind of his go to meal if its on the menu. He gave it a 5 out of 10 compared to others he has had but said it was good. He really liked the Chipotle ranch that was served on the side. If we are ever back in Louisville we would definitely eat here again.

If you are visiting Louisville or haven’t tried this gem, you are missing out. Its not just an ordinary corner tavern. The atmosphere gives chill vibes whether your in your 20’s or in your 60’s. This Tavern reminded me of pubs in Chicago neighborhoods. The staff is very attentive and courteous. I ordered to go and just took in the diverse crowd enjoying the lunchtime rush. I ordered the knocker burger which was cooked to order. My burger came with fries. I also ordered onion rings which were very lightly battered and delicious. Thank you for the great first impression and I will be back.

Very welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable wait staff. The food was so good we tried it twice. The biggest struggle is deciding what to order. It was all great from the burgers, to the sides, to the sandwiches, to the drinks. No problems. Highly reccomended. If I had to pick a winner it would be the BBQ Burger and there homemade onion rings.

The service here was great. The food was tavern food, where you can’t really go wrong. We did not like how they put yellow cheese in the Philly cheese steak, and then my friend ordered the Mac and cheese with chorizo which was just WAY too spicy for a whole meal. Much spicier than normal buffalo wings I LOVE their chicken tenders batter, but they do lack flavor. My fiancé loved the po boy with fried shrimp he said it was unlike anything he had before
