My husband I experienced the fine dining side of this restaurant. Two weeks into offering this menu, and our experience was great. Chef Trent has created a unique culinary experience. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Will, our waiter was amazing. I highly recommend to all you foodies out there. You won’t be disappointed. Reservations recommended.

Really Great Restaurant with good food and great service! Whether you just want a casual meal or fine dining they have it all! The patio and rooftop areas are nice as well. We have eaten at both the casual Dining and Fine Dining areas the food is really good! The Chef is very talented and we love his creativity and the amazing flavors he creates. If you are in West Jefferson, check this place out and while you are there check out the amazing Historic West Jefferson Hotel above it!

We enjoyed our first visit to the new place, which looked similar to the old place but with some nice updates. There is a new bar and dining area adjacent to the patio plus a rooftop bar (open Fri-Sat only so we’ll check that out another time). Lots of beverage options including a good selection of craft beers on tap. Current menu is sort of upscale pub food, but there is a plan to add a separate area with fine dining in a month or two. We are glad the hotel is back for food and drinks and look forward to visiting again.

We had a wonderful experience at the Old Hotel restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. Our party had the ribeye, the fried chicken and gravy, and the trout. All three were executed flawlessly and cooked to perfection. We also sampled several appetizers, sides, and desserts and enjoyed them all. The craft cocktails are delicious and fresh. The bartender is wonderful and the service overall was top notch. Everyone was exceptionally accommodating. Our server, Will, was attentive and professional, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and about wines in general. This restaurant is a gem that fills an unmet need in Ashe for thoughtful, seasonal, farm-to-table gourmet food. We were all around quite impressed by how things were going there given the short time they’ve been open. I am very excited to see what the future has in store for this establishment!

Best fine dinning in NW North Carolina. We had a celebratory dinner and cocktails here. We all had different drinks and food and everyone was super pleased.
The waiter was phenomenal and the bartender came to our table to see how we liked the drinks.
Quite delicious with mostly local food sourced.
We even had a tour of the gorgeous renovated hotel. Everything was top notch.

Bar ran out of Grey Goose vodka, the menu really needs to have some additions. Four of the present choices were fried chicken. I did order one entree of chicken and my wife ordered a different entree of chicken. The sides were very plain and tasteless. Wine and beer selections were good. Desserts were quite good. We found the atmosphere to be quite nice, however we found the prices to be somewhat high for chicken.
We realize that the restaurant is new, and growing pains can be painful. We anticipate that over time management will work on the menu.

Exceptional dining experience at OH restaurant in downtown West Jefferson! Perfect atmosphere to kick off the weekend! Service was professional and efficient. Our group ordered several appetizers to share – each was delicious (my favorites were the fried oyster mushrooms and pimento fritters)! Our group also ordered a variety of entrees …presentation, quality, and variety …OH hit every mark! The accompanying sides were perfect pairings alongside the main course. Yes…save room for dessert! I had the molasses cheesecake (made with local molasses)and garnished with miniature Autumn oak leaf confections…perfecto!

My husband and I visited at lunch. The menu was with very few choices. He got the grilled chicken sandwich, I got the fried chicken sandwich. Both were 17 dollars a piece. This was with no side, no drink. That is VERY pricey for a chicken sandwich. I guess the owner is making up for the price to refurbish the old hotel. Good luck to you, we won’t be returning.
