Went on a Saturday afternoon approximately 1:15. There was customers sitting at one table and a few walk-ins. So not very busy.
Ordered the lunch combo- French dip, cookie and drink.
Rootbeer syrup was out, but they replaced it right away.
There was one table left with no crumbs.
The French dip was cold, thankfully the au jus was warm.
The cookie (snickerdoodle) was underbaked and very greasy.
I’ve eaten at many other Grist Mill locations and they have been very good. Unfortunately after this visit I don’t think I’ll be returning.

A great local sandwich shop. The sandwiches, soup, and cookies were all great. The pumpkin brownie was the only thing that had a thumbs down from our out of town group. The ordering form not very intuitive for first timers, but staff was happy to help. We made new friends that photo bombed our group shot.

This quaint place has been here for some time.
They bake their bread fresh , their cinnamon rolls , brownies, scones baked fresh everyday. They don’t stop there because the sandwiches and fresh soaps are made your way. Ok now price wise ; THEY ARE BELOW ANY OTHER PLACE ( great prices) and it is fresh. Believe me this lil old place brings back the delicious, fresh, real taste we used to have. Hard to find , almost extinct anymore places like this gem. You will enjoy this place. Oh what I mentioned they have on the menu is only a quarter of what they offer. Great prices ( promo ). Try it out

Used to go there quite often and it seemed much cleaner. Haven’t gone there for years and had a hair literally wrapped up in a cinnamon roll…

Drove to Ogden to see Big Boy and stopped at the Old Grist Mill Bread Co. for lunch on the way back. This was my first time, but my wife and a friend have been here several times before and regard it as the best place for sandwiches in the area. We split a chicken bacon ranch with pepper jack. It was warm, tasty and chock full of big, fresh chicken breast chunks. Mmmm–so good! We also got a cinnamon apple tea scone and a butterscotch/chocolate chip tea scone. The latter were so good we bought two more and a cinnamon chip bran muffin to go.

As we made our way to the door, we got side-tracked by the racks of bread and ended up going back to the register for the 3rd time with a large, round loaf of cheesy potato bread (I’ve since learned this makes wonderful grilled sandwiches!) and some delicious-looking butter rolls. It’s a good thing they are an hour from home. We can also confirm the positive things about cleanliness (restroom included), friendliness, reasonable pricing and quick service. We hadn’t even seated ourselves before they called our name. Added that to our favorites.

They have the best sandwich’s and soup. And their dessert are so good. Also they make every thing and sell really good bread. They are quick and it is never over crowded. I recommend this to any sandwich lovers.

Been driving by this place for 6 months and finally stopped in. Ample parking, busy during lunch but staff r very friendly and helpful. U need to fill out a “ticket” with your order, per sandwich – but the staff help as needed. We got the full sandwich combo which includes a cookie, chips, and soda. For two grilled sandwiches (Ruben and French Dip) it was $18 – the fresh bread makes the meal! We also got some pastries, my favorite was the scone!

The only complaint is no cards. It’s been that way for a while. I just get an unwelcome feeling. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. Maybe it’s just me.

We’ve had some of their baked goods before, so I had moderately high expectations. But I was nevertheless pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced their meals are. It was wonderful comfort food.

Great lunch, affordable, and plenty of food for the money. The reuben was delicious, the soup was good, and the oatmeal cookie with walnuts was delicious.
