First time here the food is amazing and the service as well. The 2 managers go above and beyond to accommodate and make you feel welcomed. I want to thank Rob the manager for being so personable & caring on the phone and in person m. He really went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our meal..we had a birthday in our party and he didn’t forget, he came over and made some friendly conversation he is such a good man.

What a good find! Stopped in after getting off the train one night and felt welcomed right as I walked in. The Ambience is very cozy and the service was amazing. My server had lots of knowledge on the menu and recommended the skirt steak. It was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Finished with the s’mores brownie which was great. I will definitely be coming back.

My family and I love it here, the food is great as well as the service. I usually get the skirt steak or the Oldfields burger — both are delicious. I also love the fireplace in the dining room especially in the winter.
This last time we went, our server Alyssa was awesome. She was so nice, really on top of everything, and made the whole meal really enjoyable.
Definitely recommend if you’re in the Greenlawn area.

My waiter was awesome. The tuna appetizer was delicious. Can never go wrong with a burger there. Love their smoke on the water mezcal old fashion. Also their mango margarita. And in the winter time that fireplace is crucial .

Friendly spot for a real nice meal and cocktails. We had dinner as a group of 6 including two children and really enjoyed every part of our experience at Old Fields. Our server was excellent and took nice care of the kids. The cocktails and dishes were enjoyed by all. I had the roast chicken and it was fantastic. Totally recommend.

Depending on what you like for noise level, consider asking for a table in the attached dining room if you can’t handle loud conditions in the main bar area. Definitely call ahead for reservations as this place can get very crowded. The menu has some reasonably priced items such as a burger or a salad, but the price will get pretty high for their signature dishes such as fillet or marinated skirt steak. Our meal was $63 a person.

I had a great dinner at Old Fields in greenlawn! One of the best meals I’ve had in a while… the arancini rice balls and the skirt steak was amazing. Our server Liv was very knowledgeable with the menu and the service was great overall. I’ll definitely be coming back!

TL;DR – Get the coffee!
This evening, I was a solo diner. It was a Saturday night, and I was warmly welcomed and attended to. I was concerned that I would feel like I was on stage dining by myself. I was, surprisingly, comfortable.
Tonight, I had with the beet and goat cheese salad to start. I thought the beets were on the salty side, but otherwise, the dish was well balanced. I think it should be served with bread.
For my entree, I enjoyed short rib fettuccine with mushroom cream sauce and butter tomatoes. It was absolutely decadent creamy and mushroomy. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the short ribs were melt in your mouth tender. I’m not really sure how I feel about the tomatoes. I understand the need for some acidity to cut the creaminess, I ji a t mightve gone a different way.
For desert, my favorite part of the meal, I had the cheesecake and a cup (a whole pot) of French press coffee. The cheesecake was bruleed and served with real deal marrichino cherries, the dark ones, not the bright red ones. The coffee, though, was the highlight of the meal. I now know I need to purchase a French press of my very own.
The atmosphere was cozy, dimly lit. Perfect for date night. I won’t lie. I needed to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. I think that means I’m officially old.
The service was so warm and attentive. I will definitely return in the future.

Wow! I’ve heard of this place for a while and now I’ve been here. Easy to see right off of Broadway servicing Greenlawn. Lots of locals dining here. There are 2 dining rooms and a Great bar. Right next to the railroad tracks so you’ll see a train or 2 going by. The honey truffle ricotta spread is their signature appetizer. I don’t know if I’d order it again, but if someone served it to me at home I’d eat it, very dessert like. Wedge BBQ salad needed more dressing, but it was Good. Crab Cake appetizer was incredible. Steaks are the star, and you can’t go wrong with one of their Burgers. Smores Dessert were ok, the brownie needed to be warm, and the mason jar made it a little difficult to get all of it. The Coke Float was the best. Great and attentive servers which is always a bonus. Fun atmosphere, but a bit loud. We will definitely be going back.
