Definitely the best bbq I’ve had in Long island. Possibly the best I’ve had in New York. Tender brisket, fall off the bone ribs, tasty sides. Solid all around. Reasonably priced as well. Comfortable seating and a very clean bathroom.

Delicious! I was a little hesitant about BBQ on long Island but it didn’t disappoint. The brisket was basically perfect, fall-apart tender, nice crust, and moist. The pulled pork was a bit dry but had good flavor. The ribs were great, not much else to say, get em. All the sides were tasty but the Mac and cheese was a standout for me. Creamy and smokey, very unique flavor. The cornbread was moist and the slaw was great.

We went to Old Fields BBQ in Huntington last night and it was absolutely delicious! In my opinion, pricing was reasonable (shown in menu pic). The menu is à la carte and they recommended one meat and two sides per person, but we always go a little overboard lol. We split the brisket, burnt end ribs and chorizo sausage for meat got Mac n cheese, baked beans and sweet potato mash with candied pecans on top for sides. We also had a side of corn bread which was drizzled with honey- delicious! You place your order at the counter and then everything after that is taken care by your server (drinks, dessert) once you find a seat, which I think speeds up the process a lot. We really enjoyed our meal, the service was attentive and the drinks were delicious too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for barbecue food!

I found this place completely by accident. I was headed to a store across the street when the incredible smell of BBQ hit me like a wave. Just like in the old cartoons, I practically floated off my feet, nose in the air, following the aroma across the road. I had no choice but to go in.
The interior strikes a great balance, it has that cozy, worn-in, old school vibe (in the best way), but it’s also clean, modern, and welcoming. When I walked in, I wasn’t sure where to order since there’s no hostess podium near the front door. I ended up wandering through half the restaurant before a bartender kindly directed me to the counter in the back. It’s totally possible there was a sign and I just missed it, but if there isn’t, one would definitely help first timers like me.
Now, the food. We ordered brisket, pulled chicken, green beans, mac & cheese, and cornbread, and everything was absolute GAS. The brisket was incredibly tender, the pulled chicken surprisingly juicy, and all the sides were flavorful and comforting. The mac was creamy and rich, the green beans well seasoned, and the cornbread had the perfect texture and sweetness. We also tried a couple cocktails (fantastic) and took home a massive portion of peach cobbler.
I also appreciated the selection of sauces at the table, the smoky BBQ sauce was my personal favorite. Portion sizes were generous, and pricing was very reasonable for the quality.
Every staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful, and welcoming. The woman at the counter walked us through the ordering process, the bartender made killer drinks, and our waitress was attentive without being overbearing.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

My family and I loved the old Setauket location and were so excited when we went to Huntington to find there was this location to go to. We have been here a couple of times since and each time, the food is delicious, fresh and made with love. I personally get the half chicken or the pulled chicken. My dad and brother get the ribs and pulled pork and love it too. All the sides are delish. The Mac and cheese, corn bread, spinach, potato’s and Cole slaw is amazing. I’m not one for the creamed spinach and this is probably the only place I’ll eat it. Atmosphere is cute and cozy, you can choose where you want to sit after ordering at the counter. Makes it low pressure. Music is great as well, the best of the 70s.

Old Fields BBQ: a smoky surprise I didn’t see coming
I wasn’t expecting much… but I ended up licking my fingers!
We tried the ribs, brisket, chicken, a tasty beet salad, and the classic cornbread (fluffy and just the right touch of sweet). But what truly elevated everything were the sauces — the mix of smoky, sweet, and spicy flavors added a whole new layer to every bite.
The place has that laid-back BBQ vibe, but the execution was way more refined than I imagined.
Definitely a place to come back to… and recommend.

The brisket can be hit or miss depending on what time of day you come. The first time we tried it, it was very dry. The second time was definitely better but we went earlier in the day. The Mac and cheese is delicious but the portion size is really small and not worth the price. The cornbread is also hit or miss. First time it was dry and the second time it was definitely better. Overall I’d still recommend visiting and eating here.

Legit BBQ vibe where you order at the counter and take your seat. Was perfect for me and a buddy getting together. Cold beer and a big tray of meat. Everything was solid but the standouts for me were the Korean ribs and the collard greens. Enjoyed the various sauces as well. Overall good experience, solid food, unique in Huntington. I’ll definitely be back
